Joe Joyce looks like a wrecking ball in the super heavy division, very exciting fighter to watch. Must be some Irish connection with that name?

QuoteBorn to a Scots-born Irish father and a mother of Nigerian ancestry, Joyce took up boxing at the age of 22, injuries having curtailed his interest in track and field athletics

Ramirez' a bit of a party animal apparently. Was thrown off the Cuban squad a couple of times I understand for enjoying himself too much and not training hard enough. Mad he can still look as good having been half arsed about it up until the past few months.

Gold

Ramirez won. 1 aLloyd after 2 then he upped it in the 3rd. The Russian looked battered and embarrassed collecting his bronze medal

Interesting interview since with Conlon. Looks like his coach was tipped off before the fight that a fix was on. Zaur Antia was told by a Russian that his boy was 'fucked'. Conlon's father was telling him before the fight that he could stop the Russian.
