I didn't go near my phone from 12.30pm until 5.15am.

Thanks for the advice, some one of them is bound to work. Haven't been sleeping well for years, but recently it has been getting worse.

Ziggy, I have used this guy's earlier programme for sleeplessness and it worked.  Both it and the older version can be downloaded from iTunes.

Thanks TYP. Just asked a mate to download it off iTunes for me.

This lot had an article in the Times a few months ago.  They had some sensible ideas about a good nights sleep.

Well Ziggy, did any of the tips work last night?

Flat Hedgehog

I reckon he took Johnnycool's advice.   ;) He still hasn't woke up.
Knowledge only brings fear.

As you can see guys and gals, hasn't done me much good. Looking into downloading that audiobook TYP told me about.

Consider this.....

Turn off the lights

Light a scented candle / light an incense stick

Take off them Greencastle GAA woolly football socks

Off with the PJs

Rip off the Y-fronts too

Start thinking of Debbie McGee / Goat

Start the tug of love

Zzzzzzzzzzz

ziggysego

Still awake. :-(
Jesus Dodo, that could have worked, only you mentioned McGee

I liked that idea of counting points instead of sheep. Didn't work though, as being from Armagh:

70% dropped short into the keepers hands
25% to the left and wide
5% to the right an wide
Cover me in chocolate and feed me to the lesbians

Was 6am before I dropped off this morning. Ain't worth tuppence today.

No. I think that's a bad route to go down. Needing alcohol to sleep at nights.

Do you drink much coffee, tea or coke? If I drink coke I'm awake for hours so I wouldn't drink anything with caffeine after about 8pm if I was you and go for a long dander or run in the evening followed by a shower a bit of tv and as someone said read a few chapters of a book. Basically you want to avoid stimulating your body or your brain for the hour or so before you put the lights out.

Having said that "a mate of mine"  ;) reckons 8 pints of Guinness and a good hand shandy works wonders!
