Poch plays good football yes. But is he a winner? He failed miserably.when leicester city won the title. Is he the bottler or is it a spurs tradition.
New stadiums dont give teams enough capital anymore to compete. A fraction of uts income comes from gate receipts and they have the biggest stadium im the PL. Do you thimk if match day income was the main source of income utd would still be in a 76k capacity stadium. No chance it would be 100k plus

How exactly did he fail?
He is lauded as one of the best managers around yet he has won nothing and lost out to a team like leicester. Glorious failure the tottenham way. Ranieri won a league title yet gets absolutely no praise.

Lost out they were 9 points behind at Christmas and 11 at end of season?

Mickey will be the next Longford manager I think. Supposably his if he wants it and I would imagine it would be a easier ride compared to Cavan for his first intercounty job.

Some lads who "can't commit" may have trouble with irish sport council testing.

No one I know touches the stuff. Another poor attempt at a moral panic.

That's great you can stay out of this thread and let the adults discuss it.

Suddenly, the Cavan men believe.
And ye willingly gave up Brewster Park for Croke Park?

exactly? would have loved to know the thinking behind it

A jaunt to Dublin for the county board officials with lots of expenses.

It wouldn't have been for football reasons anyway.

The person who let this happen is as bad as the rapist and should be locked up.

Would like to do a wee bet  (£5) a week on the soccer,  any advice on what type of bet , apart from not to bother!
Wouldn't bet at all, not even the National,  but would be a bitacraic

I do a 1 euro yankee each weekend on the first to score which costs 11 euro. The one time the four selections clicked ( Shearer Owen Van Nistleroy Davies) I pulled 1988.
Since then I have often got two correct or three correct ( three doubles and a treble) which gives a nice return.
I have my favourites and often the individual price might be only 5/2 but if you get a few together it adds up. I pick four from across the divisions and Europe.
Kane , Salah, Huyton Luton, Marriott of Peterboro, Akinfenwa , Ronaldo, Messi, Griesmann,Belotti of Torino. are all regulars. The problem is picking the right four.
Akinfenwa is due a turn usually around 4/1

One winner in 30 years is hardly worth it.
Where did you get the 30 years? Read the post before making stupid comments

I pulled 1988 i.e. 1988 euros not placed the bet in 1988. I also referred to getting three results correct a number of times which gives a combination of a treble and three doubles which gives a very good payout.

Being hostage? It's the only f**king station that will show it.

I think it's absolutely no harm. If you want to watch it, and can't stand the Irish for some reason, then turn it down. If you need Ger Canning rabbiting on about a huge one in to enjoy it, then you have bigger issues.

If you do watch it in Irish, then what's the worst that can happen? You pick up a cúpla focail and how bad is that?

You think little Jimmy who's flicking between channels of a Sunday afternoon is more likely to stick on the station talking in some weird language or the one that's in English? TG4 plays to the converted and no one else. The GAA should not be content with the fact most of their games are on that station. It really is as simple as that - things could be better if there was enough of a will.

This is an area where more comericialism should be welcomed, to be honest.

Hello little Jimmy! You will learn this weird language when you go to school.

Can anyone tell me how to block little Jimmy.

Is such a high bar 'beyond reasonable doubt' and only people know the truth were in that room. Wouldn't want my daughter at a party with that crew all the same..

I doubt they fully know themselves.

Galligan should be left in goals his kicckouts are much better and arguably the better  keeper anyway.
