Title: the smithwick tribunal
Post by: lawnseed on June 09, 2011, 11:05:42 PM
did a member of the gardai feed information to the provos that led to the deaths of two top cops. sinn fein say three ex provos have helped in the enquiry so that should speed the process up (tempted to roll eyes but want to remain positive)

That's very good of them, what a debt we owe them.

Hard to bate a good pint of Smithwicks.
Not easy get a good pint of it in Dublin though,I suppose its more of a country drink.

Not worth a tribunal though.

A black and tan is also nice.
Some have it half Guinness half Smithwicks but I'd prefer the 3/4 Smithwicks and top off the head with a drop of Guinness.

Interestingly a "black and tan" over here (very popular) is half lager, half guinness. The half smithwick, half guinness combo goes by the name "black smith".

Back to the original post - it's been strongly contested that a member of the Gardai tipped off the IRA of the route that the two policement were going to take back across the border, yes.

A savage drink on a warm day BUT only if it's good Guinness & good Smithwicks & done exactly like TRLL says, also up my end of the country MacArdles ale could be substituted for Smithwicks. Do they still make that stuff?

this investigation has been rumbling in the background and frankly I'd gotten bored of it. that was until Geoffrey Donaldson arrived ;D. for some time Geoff had been somewhat sidelined by the duppers but this tribunal has given him the limelight he craves so badly. Geoff decided to use his parliamentary privilege to name a guard someone says passed information on to the Provo's thus enabling them to attack and kill the two high ranking officers... all very serious stuff. but just to keep us interested Geoffrey decides to tell all and sundry that.. wait for it... the real IRA have ONE MILLION VIAGRA tablets to sell  :o :o :D :D :D :D :D :D. this is fukn hilarious. the thoughts of these guys doing the pubs with a bag of tablets saying "well hows it hanging, have yea any bother getting it up?" :D :D Geoffrey Donaldson seriously believes that there are a crowd of boys who hope to unite ireland through murder and penile dysfunction. hes been taking pointers from wully again ::)

They would be better having a tribunal about the Gardai who were passing information to the RUC on Republicans. :-[so the bastards that were meeting Breen should be ashamed of thenselves.

Could be a bit of a limp case with someone as impotent as him trying to push it through.
