Some have it half Guinness half Smithwicks but I'd prefer the 3/4 Smithwicks and top off the head with a drop of Guinness.
Interestingly a "black and tan" over here (very popular) is half lager, half guinness. The half smithwick, half guinness combo goes by the name "black smith".
Back to the original post - it's been strongly contested that a member of the Gardai tipped off the IRA of the route that the two policement were going to take back across the border, yes.

this investigation has been rumbling in the background and frankly I'd gotten bored of it. that was until Geoffrey Donaldson arrived ;D. for some time Geoff had been somewhat sidelined by the duppers but this tribunal has given him the limelight he craves so badly.
