Was just watching a show earlier on darts from the other night. Him and Bobby George heavily featured. Was just past his peak when I got into darts.

Just learned that Gerry Conlon's sister Ann died earlier in the week. Ann and her sister Bridie were pictured with Gerry outside the Old Bailey upon the Guildford Four's release in 1989.

Absolutely. Not my cup of tea either but he had a huge following. He took part in a charity gig in our Club a few years ago. When he came off the stage he was asked if he’d like a cup of tea or coffee or anything. ‘ A wee Powers would be great if you had one’ was his reply
