Westside

Well done Cavan grinding out a victory. Monaghan look to be a very very strong team. Hammered us in Breffni in the league.

Bingo

Monaghan impressed this evening in Newry. A fine team and really came out of blocks early, forwards very sharp. Hit a rocky spell in second half and conceded 3 goals but few changes and pushed on again to finish strong.

They will meet bigger challenges but haven't seen a Monaghan minor team as impressive in long time.

elk

Watched Monaghan earlier on this year, they looked a decent team then and they appear to have improved since but for a team to score that much in a championship game you would have to ask just how poor a team Antrim are. Don't think Monaghan will have too much bother despatching Cavan in the semi's. Tyrone who have been setting the standard at minor level had a good win against Donegal and could well be the team to beat this year.

donegal lad

Was impressed with Tyrone minors yesterday but the result could of been very different if donegal had a consistent free taker. Donegal kicked 19 wides in the game which included 5 very easy frees in the 2nd half. Would putmonaghan as the team to beat this year

tyroneman

Tyrone had a decent midfield showing but the forward unit were awful on the day, very static and seemingly unwilling to come looking for the ball, take thier man on or shoot.

DnG had enough chances to be out the gate.
