Having both clashing with the champions league final wasn't the wisest decision.

The Authorities that be don't seem to understand that a majority of the modern GAA followers follow other sports as well. There is especially a huge cross over between Soccer and Gaelic interests.

Sure Cork football has poor following and Kerry only go to finals.

In fairness, you can blame CL final, but I doubt you'd have got much more at those. Munster championship is as dead as the emu.

Im delighted for them. They were warned for years of the consequences of the financial doping of Dublin Gaa. Now its coming home to roost.

If there was a two fingered emoji I'd send it in their direction. Hope it continues for them.

The best supported teams are those that are on a mission to win their first All Ireland (after a long gap).  Tyrone pre-03, Armagh pre-02, Mayo, the Dubs pre 2011.
There is lots of giddy excitement and every man, woman and child wants to be part of the mission to win.  After the first win, supporters become a bit more complacent, and a lot more sceptical.

That's what's happening in Dublin.  The irony is that the GAA and Leinster Council would have been better off had Dublin kept knocking on the door a la Mayo.  They need a strong Dublin, but a dominant Dublin is the last thing they need.
