It's not part of his contract.

If a player becomes an International his "club" though get allocated extra tickets, hence senior clubs in Dublin try to sign up players to their club. Lowe picked Clondalkin as he had requests from fans who were members on the club. He got on well with them in short and is now essentially an ambassador from them. He's a good egg.

Interesting discussion. Modern Ireland is a different place than 1980s Ireland.

What is Irish identity and nationalism in sport?

Is it 23 players who live and work in the country, integrated into their communities? Is it 23 players who represent 32 counties? Is it 23 players who reflect Ireland's policies of immigration and integration as demonstrated in the offices of working Ireland? Is it 23 players who upon retiring will give back to the game in Ireland and eventually integrate themselves back into working Ireland?

Or is it 14 players who live overseas? Is it the 14 players who represent 26 counties? Is it the 14 players who will retire millionaire's and vast majority will remain overseas giving little back to the game or the communities in Ireland?

I was born and bred on a council estate, I find myself working for an American Corporation in Ireland, managing a team of diverse employees. They are from Egypt, El Salvador, Poland, USA, India, Brazil, Lithuania, Spain. If I am looking for a team to represent modern Ireland and someone I can identify with there is only one winner.

Well done Laois, its not easy score 7 points in 75 odd minutes against Dublin. You'd have think Dublin are favourites after that win. They really are unbeatable at home.

Can't understand why it wasn't played in Newbridge.

Camera work and picture was awful today.

Keystone Cops is right, Kildare finding new ways to lose every year.

Goals win games. Embarrassing capitulation.

Meath vs Kildare next week.

I fancy our chances, Wicklow were poor but the new lads are stepping up to it quite quickly and looking comfortable. Tougher test of course but we have a decent cutting edge up front and an improved bench. All that said our shooting for points wasn't the best today.

Meath were not good in he first half, gifted a goal and a few points. Wicklow delivered the worst performance of a championship team I have since Kildare capitulated 5 years ago to Kerry. Meath's tackling and work rate was impressive but Wicklow   ::)

Kildare were poor against Offaly but fair play to Neil Flynn, scored three points coming on as a sub. He buried his father yesterday.

Hopefully we get a break from the incessant hyping of Kerry and Clifford now.

It's a bit nauseating but Clifford is a quality player. Kerry seem to set up around Clifford, he had moments today but the captaincy seems a weight on his young shoulders. Cork did a good job on him. I don't think that set-up suits Kerry, it's suppressing their other forwards. Kerry should be looking to play more through Sean O'Sea. Then Geaney and O'Donoghue were losses today, they have a spark that can make a difference in tight games.

Playing in front of no fans was something Cork are use to, definitely help today  ;)

Mayo definitely do come into the discussion
Division 2 team Division 2 thread.
Ros now a D1 team.

Feck off RF, Division 2 teams only. Welcome back Down and Meath, traditionalists in this Division.

Leading by 10, looking like winning by 15 then they're one good pass/catch from 100% going on to lose.

f**king Kildare!

Cormac Reilly. What's a free for Kildare is not a free for Cavan. What's a free for Cavan is not a free for Kildare. He's awful. No real intensity to the game. It's too nice out there.

Kildare missing Dan Flynn, Niall Kelly and our best player the last 18 months or so Fergal Conway.  Also Peter Kelly has retired and young starlight Jack Robinson is injured. Today is a good day to play Kildare.

I believe Kelly is out until 2021? Is Adam Tyrell injured also.

Adam is taking a break from the squad.

5 months in they need to reflect on why there is still a large outbreak in a factory and ensure that it is the last one.

Because one person gets it and it's spreads in a factory environment quicker.. you can put in all the measures you want but it can't always make it 100% safe.

I bet you €50 that all the required measures were not operated properly.

Don't think you can say that. Could worker's for example be sharing accommodation outside of work?

That might explain how someone got Covid, but not why it spread in the factory.

My point is you don't know it spread in the factory. Many meat factories employ cheap labour from Eastern Europe and elsewhere, I can think of one that is all Brazilian and another Pakistani. These minority groups live in very isolated pods in the towns. There is also the warm bed phenomenon where worker A does 12 hour shift and worker B comes home from his 12 hour shift and takes worker A bed.

I cant say whether the company in this case had good precautions but id find it incredible if they were ignoring covid. Where I work we are struggling with people behaviours at work. As lockdiwn has eased people are becoming complacent and when you turn your back not adhering to social distancing. We were thinking about using disciplinary process against those people but then we figured people would deny their close contacts  if they had it for fear of getting a warning. Factories and places of work do not have it easy in this thing.

The labour in meat factories isn't cheap, it's bloody hard work though, too hard for the locals. Majority of workers though are here to make money, they will reduce costs by living 6 to 8 in a 3 bedroom house. These guys depending on their skill level earn €10 to €20 an hour.

We will experience these random spikes but we need to learn and be better going forward.

I am on holidays and after spending 4 days in Waterford and West Cork, where there was loads of social distancing and patience, now in Kenmare, shocking levels of complacency regarding social distancing and masks. I wouldn't be surprised if Kerry was hit with a spike in 2 weeks.
