Non Irish friends heading home on Monday and asking for a heads up in the above cities for a pint and dinner. Any suggestions? Not familiar with those counties. Cheers.

I was briefed by former NACB Chairman Paddy Rooney. The effort is going well. It is understood some fund raisers are planned in Ireland as well.  Please pass this around. Thank you, one and all!

Yes, that is the Paul Kealey the benefit is for. Paul played for Young Irelands GFC in Philly for many years. He also scored the winning goal in the 1989 NACB Intermediate Championship. Momentum for this event is building in Philly!

Paul and Fiona Kealey are the proud parents of 3 yr old son, Darragh, and reside just outside of Philadelphia, Pa. In 2012 Fiona was diagnosed with stomach/ovarian cancer. After months of chemo and major operations she was pronounced cancer free. Unfortunately in July, 2013, the cancer re-appeared. This has resulted in another lengthy hospital stay for Fiona. She also faces another long course of chemotherapy as well. The emotional stress upon this family is staggering. The financial burden placed upon this family has been devastating. Between loss of wages and medical bills the totals are staggering.

On Nov. 23 @ Cobbs Creek Golf Course, Philadelphia, Pa a 10:00am Shotgun start will be held. e-mail contact is former NACB Chairman Paddy Rooney @ paddyrooneyspub@aol.com

Sponsorships for the golf outing are available. $1000, $500, $250, $100.
The $100 gets your company/name on a golf hole @ the outing. Any size donation will be gratefully accepted. Checks may be made out to Philadelphia Irish Open Golf Charities and mailed to 12 Tenby Rd., Havertown, Pa 19083 USA.

Paul is a long time member of the Young Irelands GFC in Philadelphia and both he and Fiona are well known and respected GAA people both in Ireland and America.

Thank you for your support in this effort!!

A Donnie, at heart, but headed to Paddy Rooney's Pub in Havertown to see if Sligo can come up with a free taker. My buddy from Gurteen is a nervous wreck. Most of the ching here in Philly going on Cork.....but I don't think so.

tell me. Is there anyway to listen to the Donegal v Monaghan match? No TV, again, and the radio stations aren't listing it. The bars here in Philly, which is a big football v hurling town, are getting killed this year by Setanta. Thanks
