Quote from: Goals_Will_Come on May 31, 2024, 10:47:59 AMnow have to enter a Tier 2 competition that no one wants to be in for potentially the next 3 weeks. Make it make sense.
U17 is Ultra development grade and players and management would want as many games as possible.

Quote from: Rossfan on May 31, 2024, 12:32:33 PMAny idea when the Quarter Finals fixtures will be announced?

On next weekend June 8th/9th now that's poor by HQ to not have venues and throw in times already set.
Tyrone have played 9 games, enough for them to see where they are at and play a number of players in different positions and roles. The next 3 weeks is overkill and not one member of squad or management want to be involved in it.
Based on? and at U16/15 level these players have played more than 9 games.  Does be a few HQ ran competitions they play in with B sections also.

Quote from: galwayman on May 30, 2024, 01:15:44 PMHard to find out much info up here but rumour is both Comer and Finnerty are out.
Have heard conflicting reports as to how serious each injury is so who knows.

Comer in particular would be a huge loss for Galway - he's one of those players you love to watch playing.
We just don't seem to perform at all when Comer is not there.
He is the absolute key man in this team.

Yes Galway a different team with or without Comer. Finnertys form in the last few games was probably the best and most consistent he's played for Galway seniors.

Quote from: full moon on May 28, 2024, 11:45:15 AMDublin are levels ahead of the others for obvious reasons and GAA refuses to address that.

Aside from that supporters are being short changed, the GAA ticketing system is a shambles and prices are ridiculous with so many games. 25 quid to stand in a terrace with no cover in a meaningless group match with no jeopardy, poor football and for many your county has little chance to even compete. GAA Go thing also an issue.

Most people want knockout football, with teams playing others of a similar level at reasonable ticket prices and ability to pay cash at the gate. The groups are a joke.

Paying cash at the gate is a non starter. For obvious reasons the entire world is moving away from physical cash, and the GAA should be no different.

And yet when one walks inside any GAA stadium you can use cash to buy food, drink and a program.

Quote from: manfromdelmonte on May 26, 2024, 01:35:32 PMWhat did the Roscommon player get a black card for? It looked like he was pulled down by the Dublin player

Was coming together of two players I don't think it was even yellow card offence never mind a black card. Not the first time that ref Derek O'Mahoney has handed out odd black card.

From the Hill it was clear that after the ball was played the Roscommon player extended his arm across the Dublin player's chest to prevent him following the play. They then tangled and ended up on the ground. It was a clear black card.

Needs to be deliberate body collide for it to be deemed a black which IMO wasn't the case in that incident.

Hard to see him manager of Galway next year, results business and Galway greatly underachieved this year.

Quote from: bennydorano on May 26, 2024, 02:33:38 PMHard luck Armagh. Don't see Derry winning any All Ireland tbh, very easily nullified today by a team they beat by 17 pts a few weeks ago. Then again it's hard to know how the provinces measure up and if they'll give Derry the free reign to do what they like.

From what I've seen and similar to U20 this year Ulster appears to be the strongest province of the four.
