Quote from: Itchy on Today at 01:36:59 PMIt does stop a man catching a long ball in and getting swamped by 3 defenders and getting turned over.

Is this what people want to stop?

Going to take a guess and say Itchy was a forward in his playing days?

Attacking mark has added little or nothing to the game and would be one of the first rules I'd get rid of.

Down 2-10 Mayo 0-15

Thank god for that. Don't know what the point of this competition is?

U20 is development, grade the more matches the better for players. And will be B and C grade competitions in the All Ireland series at U17/minor this year.
The whole tiered championship adds an unnecessary amount of extra more or less meaningless games into an already bloated calendar.

October I believe U20s panels commence training and for all the training in the world the players themselves wants more games.

Quote from: tiempo on Today at 10:40:26 AMAhhh the old ... not having top quality football people ... chestnut

One step removed from Neville's 'best in class' trope

So to address that they've acquired a 71yo billionaire minority shareholder supporter and Jason Wilcox

The football world is trembling at the prospect!

And if all else fails blame the Glazers, who to date have 5 PL titles and a European Cup under their tenure

Any current successful team that doesn't have top quality football people behind the scenes?  The 5 PL titles and a European Cup was won with Ferguson still there and the structure of the club and how it was ran went with his retirement. The true worth of the Glazers has been seen since.

Football as a spectacle is  pathetic.

You're hard to please!

There was some  very good scores taken , but  the  match  itself  was brutal

Found it to be a intriguing watch, brutal for me is one sided contest whereby on team has thrown in the towel long before the final whistle and 5 to 7 point margin ends up as 17 to 20 point defeat.

The first half was as good as half as you'll see all year

Paul Flynn said the same on the Sunday game tonight.

More penalty heartbreak for Armagh
#10
Amazingly penalty shootout to decide another Armagh championship game.
#11
0-20 each with a minute to play.
#12
86 mins played Armagh 0-20 Donegal 0-19
#13
Half time in extra time. Armagh 0-18 Donegal 0-17.

#14
Extra time to be played.  Ref didn't play a second over the 3 minutes.
#15
Into 3 minutes of added time and it's still 0-15 each. A winner or extra time?
