GAA Discussion / Re: Maigh Eo v Gaillimh

well what did we learn yesterday . nothing  by any one who was watching mayos previous games this and the last few years.
Mayo need to Score big coz our back want to play football and while helping the attack other teams sometime score . which is why we need the master of this game back Peader Gardiner.
Austin o malley is a sub at best.
Liam o malley is a definete Starter maybe take a chance on either Cunniffe or Boy but to do both is Just daft.
Part hearte is James gill with a worse haircut and you cant play both of them and maybe either in the same game.
Andy Moran is now Mayo's best player.
Mayo have lost the winners edge since JOm came and arenot winning far too many tight games against equal or lower level opposition . think Donegal Laois in particular.
We are still well back on where we were this time last year but with barry moran on the way back Parsons looking a real find and didnt ronaldson impress with his 5 minutes  compared to Boyle whos neves refused yo let him stay on his feet towards the end,but hell get over than. there is some hope but 2009 looks a better bet right now

the programs really bring the hate out in people albeit in a safe way . but it sets up all the kinda of people the majority despise and promises to kick one of them in the goolies each week. LCD stuff but its a harmless guilty pleasure

I was up all night ringing the girls 24 hour hotline, no answer, f**king disaster, i cant beleive this was one of their selling points, For so many successful business people, i couldnt beleive they couldnt come up with anything better than that
the phoneline itself wasn't that bad an idea. they just didn't justify it well
would you hand over you clothes to a bunch of people who had no permanent address and no phone number. people like that belong on the real Hustle show. esp none of the looked  or dressed like  Laundry staff.
BTW how posh were they to was and Iron all the clothes while still wearing suits?

scoring well while its still natioanal hunt season.
People have been very tough on kilcoyne for kicking away the ball again donegal remember it had a full lenght of the pitch to go before the goal was scored. If garryowens counted against a player Trevor would nevr have been near the mayo team . dont think he should ship all the blame for that one, I think he is a speedy direct player well able to take a score more so than most of the alterative a haf forward gill harte ect and is well worth hanging on to .
Remember these guy are still growing and should be improving. we can only dream about a young CMCD returning for so long

i think the obvious replacement for  Austin is trevor mortimer. He's like a cocker spaniel when hes out the field all over the place constanly up some one arse but has not got the nous to use all the ball he get esp along the back line is is capable of anything. where as the Limitations of the full forward line has alway suited him whenever he has played there .
where as we are spoiled for choice at half forward. Gardiner dillon mullins campbell, harte ,gill, padden, kilcoyne pick any 2 with dillion from that and thats leaving out mcdonald d munnelly (in red hot form)and ger brady, any one i forgot?

another victory for the red tops.
where one alleged  little flaw can out do the amazing job Bertie has done for the country over the last ten  years. he changed ireland to be one of the strongest economic powers for it size in the world. from being a country riddled with unemployment he  made he  a magnet for workers from all over the world.  but tabloids need headlines for tabloid people and another noble head roles found guilty of nothing just a suspicion of recieving gifts from his mates in hard times. when he wasnt even taoiseach.
This noth to metion the peace process and all that has done for ireland. when bruton gret a chance there were bombs going off in 6 months. but he was a rich man and was rewarded wiith a cushy UN Job the great peace maker.
Farewell Bertie our great Taoiseach since lemass and f**k the begrudgers

difference is ; the guy from dunnes doesn't come round hawking his shoddy goods when you in tesco's.

J ames gill was responsible for an awful lot of ball winning around midfield as indeed was heaney and tahts what can be so fustrating about watching mayo. they can be 90% excellant and then do something to make you wonder if they are footballers at all.

See http://mayogaablog.com/ for my tuppence worth on today's match.
i'll give you a farthing for it. but don't worry the ballina man will make up the difference . as he seems to be your protector these days .

couldn't argue uch wuth the player ratings . maybe a little kind to conniiffe. he was dire and shoild have played his way off the team with that display. he was ok going forward but not exceptional enough to make up for his defense. neither did boyle but you gotta give a fools pardon. for a first start. A bad call i think to use such an inexperienced full back line not really fair to any of them and exposed all 3.

other wise austin probably had his best game ever for mayo . hopefully he'lll prove me wrong yet. same with gill played very well but the game in reality was at half championship pace.
getting a bit worried about dillons form well win nothing without him playing well
