GAA Discussion / Longford v Mayo 26th June
June 13, 2010, 09:31:56 PM
Looks like the game will be played in Longford. I reckon this should be a good game on the back of Sligo and Cork to get a little bit of confidence going in the side again and mabye even a run going in the qualifiers. If we cant beat Longford then we have lost a seriously big amount of ground in 2 games! I certainly cant see Mayo playing as badly again as they have!

Road to Sam here we go!!  ;) :D ;D ::)

On the Premier League site, under 'Games' go into I Know The Score and use the same username as you have for the fantasy premiership and under 'mini-leagues' put in the code c71U-ZVYF

This is a prediction game where you predict the different game results of each game week.

GAA Discussion / Mayo v Cavan
June 24, 2007, 06:31:10 PM
Interesting as the 2 teams played last week in a challange with Cavan prevailing, none the less this is a big game, I'd expect Mayo to prevail and its an extra that the game is in Castlebar. Mayo should be fired up a bit more for the qualifiers as i'd expect and progress.

GAA Discussion / Galway v Mayo, CSFC May 20th
April 23, 2007, 06:58:37 PM
Just thought I'd start thid individual thread, with Mayo running out 1 point winners against them in the league semi final Galway will be out for revenge and to get one over on Mayo for the defeat in the Connaught Final last year. Mayo were probably fairly tired against them as that was their 4th game in a row.
We should have D Brady and T Mortimer back which would be a huge boost so I'd say Mayo for this game which should be tight and hopefully an exciting encounter.
Looking forward to it.

GAA Discussion / Mayo v Galway NFL Semi-Final
April 08, 2007, 05:21:36 PM
Well I'm surprised at this, was expecting Mayo to end up playing Kildare or Laois but that ended up in a draw and Galway beat Down, Donegal beat Fermanagh, that means Donegal top 1A, Galway on score difference top 1B so we been second in 1A have ended up against our old rivals..
Well this will be hugely interesting in the run up to the championship!!! Should be a tough encounter as games between Mayo and Galway always are! Should be exciting too!
Game is in Croke Park next Sunday.

GAA Discussion / NFL Div 1A
April 04, 2007, 12:54:39 PM
DIV 1A: DONEGAL, MAYO TAKE SEMI-FINAL PLACES

Remaining Fixtures

Sunday (3.30):

Dublin v Kerry, Parnell Park

Tyrone v Mayo, Omagh

Donegal v Fermanagh, Ballybofey

Cork v Limerick, Pairc Ui Rinn.

What's decided:
Donegal and Mayo have already qualified for the semi-finals. Fermanagh will finish bottom of the group and will be in Division 3 next year.

What's to be decided:
Who tops the group? Who will finish in third and fourth places, thereby clinching Division One status next year? Who will finish in sixth and seventh places and head for Division Two Next year? Who will join Limerick in Division Three next year?

Possibilities:
Either Donegal or Mayo can top the group. If Kerry (7pts) beat Dublin (6pts), the Kingdom will be in Division One next year while Dublin will be in Division Two. If Dublin win, they will overtake Kerry and guarantee themselves a place in the top flight next year.

It would then be between Kerry and Tyrone (7pts) for the last remaining qualification place for Division One next year. Tyrone will be at home to Mayo on Sunday. The winner of Cork (4pts) v Limerick (3pts) will be in Division Two next year while the losers will be in Division Three.

GAA Discussion / Tyrone v Mayo NFL
April 02, 2007, 12:11:15 AM
Game scheduled for Sunday in Omagh at 15:30pm.
Must win game for Tyrone if they are to stay in Division 1 next year while Mayo are now through to the semis this year with one game to spare after beating Dublin.
Will be an interesting game and will expect it to be tight. It's an away game for Mayo which are never easy and I'd expect Tyrone to be really hungry for the win to stay in Div 1.
Yet at this point in time I'd expect a close encounter but a Mayo win.

GAA Discussion / Cork v Mayo NFL
March 18, 2007, 09:04:46 PM
So fixtured for Saturday in Pairc Ui Rinn, long trip.
I feel this is going to be tough for Mayo to win. Cork have had an up and down season beating Tyrone by a good margin at home and then been beaten by a good margin by Dublin in Parnell Park.
Obviously Cork have a good home record.
Hard to give an opinion on who I think will win at the present time.
Good news for Mayo is that K O Neill is expected to return for this match which should be a boost for the team while D Brady isnt expected back till the Dublin game unfortuneatly.

GAA Discussion / Mayo Player Illness
March 05, 2007, 05:21:51 PM
I read on Mayofans.com and mchalepark.com that a Mayo star player has a serious illness and has resigned from the panel. It is not been announced publicly who it is yet but is supposed to be during the week in the local press. The player does not want it to be announced until he decides. He has told his family and John O Mahony. It is serious but not life threatening.
I only read this on the websites so I dont know anything more than ye now.
It's very sad news and I'm wishing whoever it is a speedy recovery.

GAA Discussion / Fermanagh v Mayo NFL
March 04, 2007, 10:35:02 PM
As the Fermanagh home pitch is been renevated the game is fixtured for Clones next Sunday at 2:30 pm.
Should be an enjoyable game and although away (or neutral) and possibly without D Brady and K O Neill I'd still expect a Mayo win!
Mayo should use this game to attempt to get plenty of scores as at the end of the group stage the score difference may be the decideing factor as to weather or not Mayo will get into the playoffs!
