Just reading up on  Reed, he apparently isn't that popular. He doesn't talk to his parents and was accused of cheating in college.
Being disliked by other golfers is a likely a sign that he's a sound lad.

Wasnt their that survey of all the pros on who they hate the most and Bubba won by a mile. He seems like a likeable idiot in his interviews but apparently he is just a cnut and you sometimes see it in his outbursts on the course.  His caddy takes all sorts of abuse

Should get Allison Morris from the Irish news to protest against the abuse his caddy gets!!

Oh jeez someone only goes and mentions blane and look were we end up lol

GJL

He deserved it for the 2 put on the 17th from where his drive ended up. Fair play.

Rory's day will come.

Every year I wonder, how do they have the correct size green jacket for the winner , always fits.

Keep multiple sizes ready

What an unpopular winner. Everyone wanted either Fowler or Speith to pip him. Good article here on it http://www.golf.com/knockdown/2018/04/08/masters-patrick-reed-estranged-family-complex-mix-emotions

McIlroy was muck. All weekend he was ropey. Scrambled well which helped him but was very average at best. Goes to show how good he actually is given he can contend with his game in such bad shape. Leaked a lot of Drivers and Irons right. Taylormade should make him a twist face putter.

Fowler is gent and has so much class. Really hope he wins a major this year.

Think Speith will achieve the Grand Slam before Rory. For someone with an unorthodox swing he can sure get round the course.

Orior

Agreed that Spieth will get a grand slam before Rory.

You drive for show and you putt for dough.

Proof that Reed is a cnut of the highest order, and his tart isn't helping matters.

Whose wife doesnt run the show ?  ;D ;D ;D

Marrying older ones is just wrong!!  the gap mentally is far greater than the age and this one was well aware how good a golfer he'd end up!

McIlroy shot an excellent 65 on Saturday, no dropped shots and a number of clutch putts. When good, as it was a lot of the time, his driving was superb. A similar performance yesterday and he would have been in green. His problem at Augusta seems one of timing; if he had switched rounds around as it were, he might have had more momentum yesterday and spooked Reed.

Gmac

Rory talked a lot of shite Saturday after his round about who all the pressure was on and it didn't work out for him , next time he should keep the head down give the standard answer and worry about his own game that stuff just leaves him wide open to criticism when it fails

He holed out for eagle on the 8th when his chip deserved nothing more than a par. Granted he holed a few putts but it was his scrambling that pulled him through. The 65 papered over a lot of cracks that were exposed on Sunday when the course was arguably playing at its easiest.
But as I said it's testimony to how good he is when he can contend when not playing well.
