Clonoe Gael leaves his mark in rural England

Brian Bannigan, a proud Clonoe and Tyrone man helped to form a Gaelic Football club in Corby Northamptonshire. Corby O'Rahillys (named after his beloved home club) continue to play football in one of the most rural English settings. Brians wife hails from Clonfeacle. Corby has people from Tyrone and Armagh (Clonfeacle (An Mhaigh agus An Port Mor), Urney, Ahyaran, Tullysaran, Carrickmore) as well as many other counties throughout Ireland.

BANNIGAN On 26th June 2011,
peacefully at Kettering General Hospital after a long illness. Brian aged 81years of Corby. Beloved husband of Susan, loving father of Christopher, Garry, Donal, Jerome, Sean, Patrick, Ronan, Eamon, Vincent and Colm.
A wonderful Father-in-law and devoted Grandad to all his Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren. He will be so greatly missed by all his caring family and many friends. Requiem Mass for Brian will be held at Our Lady of Walsingham Church, Occupation Road, Corby on Tuesday 5th July at 10.00am,
followed by interment at Shire Lodge Cemetery. Reception into Church on Monday 4th July at 4.30pm.Flowers and all further enquires to Midlands Co-operative Funeral Service, Darley Dale Road, Corby. 203076.
