Lough beat Stewartstown 2-12 to 0-13 this evening. Top of the league with, obviously, one game played more than the chasing pack.
Seem to be motoring well in D2 with a young team on paper still. Who's moving well this year for yous? I wouldn't know so many of the younger lads but meenan surely is a good addition to the forward line. Would he play next year v Kc if yous happened to go up?  ???
He could pull the same move as Penrose did last year v his own club and sit it out 😉

Carrying a niggling injury prior to that game I believe  ::)

Outside of 2 or 3 men over 30 all the rest younger than 24 so very young profile. Going well so far and we're missing our main scoring forward, Cathoir Gallagher this evening.

The Leo Meenan question will be a nice dilemma to have. There'll be no talk of senior football for a while yet ;)

Some win for derrylaughin v dromore today. Omagh and Kc not motoring as they would of imagined at the start of the season. Another good win for us today Vs a physical Dungannon side. They kicked a lot of wires but I think we deserved the victory on the day. Referee gave some dubious decisions to put it mildly

Was at the Clarkes Carmen game yesterday. A good, robust game of football played in the right spirit, very much worth this neutral's £5 admission. Some great kick passing into the full forward line from both teams, great to see them letting the ball in early and not pitting defensive system vs defensive system and laboured fist-passing resulting.
Carmen's old hands still delivering the goods, but some of their young crop stood up well to a very determined Clarkes team. Dungannon look to have their ducks in a row, could cement themselves as a division one team for the foreseeable if they keep it up.

Neutral? Were your own club not playing yesterday....

Surely your own club deserve your support...

They weren't playing at 5pm anyway Boris

What happened with Urney? Bad show not fielding in division 2 this early in the season. It a Derby against Newton, too.

It was Johnny Laffery's stag weekend.

Newtownstewart refused to change the game at all. Scummy move especially when you consider that they're amalgamated at underage level.

Big fallout in the Urney village/club about the whole thing - parents wanting to pull youth players from Newtown, Club officials resigning etc.

Coming up to a 3rd of the season in after Fridays games.

Just looking at the table the Derrylaughan/Donaghmore game looks to be a big one already for D'More. They are struggling. Eglish and Tattyreagh will need to get something, somewhere soon. Will the Tatts smell blood at home to Omagh? Could be interesting.

No surprises at the top, pretty much as you expected - the demise of Clonoe has been predicted for a few years now....they are still there, one last hurrah for some? Moy look to have the house in order after a bit of a scare last year.

D2
Clogher strike my eye right away in along the big boys of that division - they must be going well. Big test for their ambitions v Galbally coming up though.. Aghyaran in diffs already, McHugh loss is obviously massive. Cookstown having a bit of an indifferent start, you have to imagine they are happy enough to wait for Championship time as normal.
Still don't get how Greencastle Seniors can perform so poor and their reserves yet again look to be doing so well. It's strange.

D3
I know Brocagh won the Junior Ulster League, they looked like a team ready to explode out of the blocks but going ok just. Brackaville flying....interesting. Aghaloo were always going to go well in this one, backing it up early doors and are very good at the back looking at the Tyrone website.
Kildress having an absolute nightmare.....what is wrong with them?
Fintona / CNG big drops in standards too - would have thought they would do rightly especially in 3.

Any reason why all senior and intermediate games are Friday night with junior games on Sunday? Are Tyrone away this weekend?

How do you work that out? Derrylaughan have taken 3 points from Dromore, Coalisland and Trillick. They've Errigal this week. That could be the top 4 played already.

Donaghmore lost to Omagh and Dromore and drew with Trillick. I don't think either team will be too panicked at this stage.

Similarly Eglish have played some of the top teams already. They'll want to get points soon so they don't get cut adrift

If you start off bad in 1, with a small enough panel. It's not easy to turn the tide....we've all seen clubs get into the quick sand that shouldn't be there but when morale goes down etc.

No insult to either club nor any bias towards them. I'm just surprised to see both there considering how they went last year - but, who knows....time to go yet.

Eastie

Eglish Not going well, 5 losses from 5, Few big absences from the team. Many losing patience, maybe lucky tatts are here in the long run, although they are above us atm. How did clarkes and dork game go? Heard there was abit of a row
