Lough beat Stewartstown 2-12 to 0-13 this evening. Top of the league with, obviously, one game played more than the chasing pack.
Seem to be motoring well in D2 with a young team on paper still. Who's moving well this year for yous? I wouldn't know so many of the younger lads but meenan surely is a good addition to the forward line. Would he play next year v Kc if yous happened to go up?  ???
He could pull the same move as Penrose did last year v his own club and sit it out 😉

Division 2 reserve league - Loughmacrory reckoned they won it - a few in the CCC decided otherwise  - Loughmacrory appealed the neighbour man's decision to make it a playoff and went to Ulster and they won hands down. The seemingly friendly neighbour seemed to do eveything to ensure that the noisy neighbours didn't get the trophy early on and it appears that the resident's committee have been duped into thinking that the best way to resolve the dispute is to take it to the highest authority and pour red diesel onto the fire. Meanwhile the clubs who played for most of the year have packed up and gone home and the cup trophy that was to be presented for the reserve league is lying in a cupboard or the back seat of some man's car.

Another fine mess we've got ourselves into. More trips to Armagh, Dublin, diesel money and big feeds to be paid for.

Loughmacrory refused to play there friendly neighbours in a play off, so they huffed and have ended up with nothing to show for their year.

Did Loughmacrory not win the Reserve Championship?  Apparently the league is to be shared between the 3 teams.

'Seemingly friendly neighbour'    - I actually did laugh out loud at this one!!  Great explanation!!

Tyrone fixtures makers taking lots of plaudits for the early finish this year but did the reserve legaues not descend into a bit of a farce?
What has happened the Div 2 reserve league?? 3 teams level, who are the winners? Not that it matters greatly outside of the teams involved!!

It definitely does matter to some teams - I hear its going to the ulster council for a decision - AFAIK Loughmacrory putting in a complaint about Greencastle finishing level on points with the others.

Think Ulster Council ruled in favour of Loughmacrory but TCB have passed it on to Croke Park for a hearing

What was the basis of the complaint? Did Greencastle get a lot of w/o etc?

Having played junior football most of my "career", it is a nightmare if you get knocked out of the reserve championship early, especially for clubs with a smaller pick. However, I have alos been on the other side where the reserve championship did not kick off until mid August. The seniors played the preliminary round in the championship and the 1st round went to a replay. It meant  that by the time  the reserve championship was played we had used something like 27 players through injuries/suspensions/substitutions in the seniors who we ineligible. Panel was at the bare bones

We did nt win the reserves..... :-X

Apparently Greencastle had conceded their last game against Aghyaran but after hearing that Lough beat Pomeroy they got Aghyaran to say that they had concede the game.  They county board had on the Tyronegaa.ie website that Greencastle had conceded but have since changed the game to postponed.  Lough appealed the County boards decision to the Ulster council and were successful.  The County Board have now appealed the Ulster Councils decision to Croke Park!!
