By all accounts our London captain will be back for the Dromard match .....

16's , I'll take that .....considering recent performances and the draw

most of North Longford happy enough with that side of the draw !

No Shamrock ...same coverage as you get at home on Newstalk ... its Shannonside and txt's from the auld fella.
Haven't seen Derry this year , but dont see too much being in it , in the end .
Time for our lads to take their chances when they get them , should have won the Wexford game comfortably , we cant afford a repeat performance !
Any word on starting line up , I think its time he gave Paul Kelly a start and see what he can do from the beginning , he was done well enough in both games coming on as a substitute.

Yes Rossfan ...in London .....
Will have to do with Shannonside and the signal cutting out every 5 mins !!

Likewise with Shamrock , I have been out of the loop a few years now with regard to Longford town .... Valentines is a good spot ....Keoghs might have a bit of trad .... Fox's will have a good football crowd after the game .

Is it televised ? ...or will I be stuck with my lug to the radio again !

Viewmount House have rooms to let .... out the old Dublin road about a mile , follow the signs ...
Great restaurant out the road ......
Other than that Uncle Longfordian has a B&B in Edgeworthstown ....and usually only one topic discussed in that house , and thats football !

Seamus Hannon is a clubmate of mine and is starting at wing half back , good footballer too, played corner back for Longford two years ago , when Longford beat Mayo in Pearse Pk

Not Shane Mulligan from Longford , who is starting v Wexford in Croke Pk Sunday ,

Agree with Shamrock ...a bit of momenteum with us at the moment , which makes a great change for us , our midfield will need to get going from the start on Sunday , wide open spaces of Croke Park may suit our forward line a little more than Wexford .
Wonder will he start Paul Kelly , or hold him back as an impact sub .. Croke Pk will suit him down to the ground !
Like Shamrock , I would read nothing into Div 3 final ...

Thankfully this game is televised , for us out foreign ,  as Im still not the better of the Newstalk lads taking an age to decide where Loais had scored a goal or was it a square ball

Lads ,
I believe the game isnt being shown on RTE , I cant imagine there being any other source to watch it from over here in London , so its Shannonside FM and txt's from auld Longfordian.
Shamrock you hardly want to setup a Skype call from your Smartphone for the duration of the game by any chance  :)

Signs are good going into this one ! ...probably would be one of the strongest Longford panels since the mid 80's , Liam Tierney / Mickey O Hara / Speedy McCormack / Dessie Barry / Philip Kiernan etc ....
Home advantage will be a considerable advantage , although Laois have been playing all season in Div 1 , while being relegated , this experience is bound to stand to them .
I expect a close one , our lads may shade it , with home advantage

I would like to extend my sympathies to the Smyth family from Cashel , on the awful news of the death of Alison aged only 29 years old. Alison excelled on both the Football field and Basketball court ,  remember her fondly from my time with Longford Falcons Basketball Club.
Very sad news .

Firstly ...correct me if Im wrong , am living out foreign now and am a bit removed from the football at the moment ...
Take for example Mostrim v Domard ...winners of this get two points , all teams go back into the hat and Mostrim could get anyone other than Dromard ..... this process continues until each team has played 5 games ...... Top 8 teams go into quarter finals  1 play 8 , 2 play 7 etc .... bottom 4 play off to see who goes down

Laurel .... tough draw for the 3rd year in a row ... although there wasnt much between each for the last two years .....
Not the easiest draw for us either !

As Laurel knows only too well from last couple of years , Clonguish can be beaten ... obviously they will go in favourites , but we are getting progressively better as each game goes on ! .... not too difficult given our performance v Killoe on our first outing this year !!

Hopefully ourselves and Donegal can do it agian in the same year !!!  ;D.... signs are good so far !!!
