If Marc is pissed off about the article he should ring the odious little fudgepacker who wrote it and tell him so

From what I hear, the lad qualifies for the Republic through the grandparent rule, which means the story was inaccurate as it argued he didn't.  But DON'T be surprised if he does in fact opt to play for the statelet

Doesnt qualify this way...Doesnt make any difference, he wont play for NI anyway.....who does kennedy think he is? "WE WILL DO ALL WE CAN TO MAKE MARC PLAY FOR NI"
Ballocks you cant make anyone do what they dont want to do....

Glad to hear it Pat.  Hope he tells Worthington to f**k off if he rings him this week

There's a great one of Frank which hangs in Tommy MCGraths in Dungannon of him after the 1984 Ulster Final holding an O'Neills ball.  anyone know if you can get copies of it anywhere?

Yep, many's a time I've stood at the far end of the bar beside that portrait supping pints of stout ... is the same one not up in McAleer's front bar too?

Our bosses have just instigated a pay freeze, thus they are failing to honour the third year of a three-year pay deal.  Surely this is a breach of contract?  Any lawyers out there can advise? It would be much appreciated

I really believe there are people in the work force that would rather see their company go under than take a pay freeze..get f**king real.........muppets!!

There isn't a snowball's chance in hell of the firm I work for going under ... in fact it will turn another healthy profit ... it is just using the recession as an excuse to cut costs which will be handed to the shareholders in dividends ... what do you want us to do? Bend over and take it up the arse from a shower of bastards who plead poverty every time there's pay negotiations, even when they enjoy substantial profits, or protect hard won rights?  Away and grow a spine...

Folks I am looking for some pics in a hurry of Tyrone in 2008. I have (ahem) borrowed the ones from the Tyrone v Kerry thread, but was looking a few more. Anyone got any wee clips, a pic of Packie's save, or Joe McMahon's celebration v The Dubs?

Cheers

;D

class! :D :D :D

Wish I was computer literate enough to post pictures ... there'd be one of three clothes lines in as row

S'pose it's no surprise that it's jackeens arguing the point on here ... they'll be saying soon it's time for a new royal visit to what was the second city of the empire the last time some parasite from buckingham palace was paraded thru the streets there to accept the thanks of loyal dubliners for her hugely generous contribution to the famine fund 35 years earlier ... time to get them wee red, white abd blue flags outta the bottom drawers boys ;)

Redhander, please for the love of god, dont be fooled into thinking Tankie and Gnevins views are that of the average Dubliner. Theres a very noisy minority in the Myers mould alright, but despite their kicking and screaming, they are the minority.

No probs ... i know and appreciate the contribution many brave dubs played in the fight for Irish freedom ... a point a very good friend of mine from Ballymun never tires of reminding me of!

The revisionism happened in the years after the war when these men where brush under the carpet and the nation attempted to forget them

In what way were they brushed under the carpet? In many ways they and their families were better looked after than those who stayed behind, so why should the Irish state remember those who chose to fight in foreign armies?

I have no problems with Irishmen fighting in foreign armies - the names of three Irish generals who fought for Napoleon against the English are inscibed on the Arc De Triomphe - what I do have a problem with is Irishmen fighting in the army of the country that enslaved their people ...

sure u boys in Britain would know more about Royal Visits than us  ;)

But on a serious note this has nothing to do with British rule, these men fought for Ireland as proud Irish men and that should not be forgotten.

Us abandoned Irish in the occupied six wouldn't have a problem remembering them if all the associated baggage wasn't shovelled down our throats by bigots up here.

BTW tankie, any of your famous predictions about what the Dubs are going to do to us at Croker at the end of January? :P
