Quote from: jcpen on Today at 08:04:29 PMDid Man United make it into any of the European places?
Do they get the Europa League because they are in FA Cup Final?

Think they're out unless they win the FA Cup.

Who got Liverpool's League Cup European place?

Who get the Conference League Place?

Quote from: From the Bunker on Today at 07:19:06 PMFergie won a league with 75 points in 1996–97. Newcastle were 2nd with 68.  ;D
Have the top teams got better or have the lower teams got worse?

It's hard to know. Probably have. Arsenal and Liverpool also finished on 68 (in '96/97)

Quote from: From the Bunker on Today at 06:52:32 PMPep has a new Manager in Arteta to burn off every season. And eventually burn out!

Arsen stayed the pace... these young managers struggle nowadays

Arséne won his first title with 78 points. He would have finished 4th in this years League.

You win the league you win the league.. the points total league is that separate?

Nah, you win the League you win the League. But you have to admit it has turned into zero room for error.

Fair dues to Ciry they have opened the purse strings and upped the anti. It's up to the rest to catch up or be left behind, even if it is by 2 points.  ;D

Quote from: Duine Inteacht Eile on Today at 04:34:35 PMRegardless of how he arrived at the decision, the replay clearly shows that it was the correct one and that's all that matters.
Don't know what there is to yap about.

He was yapping that the 65 was not taken behind the 65 yard line! It was taken a yard inside it. He told the linesman and the 3rd official and they decided not to intervene. Still petty!

Quote from: Gael85 on Today at 04:47:42 PMWill Pep stay around for the 10 in a row?

Would you leave if you had a bottomless pit of Money to spend and the Premier League won't touch you because it'll damage their product. Look what happened to the Italian League after action was taken against cheating teams.

SF are on the slide. They were the rebellious vote. But are no longer in that mould.

A rebel without a cause. And not even a rebel anymore!

Can't see these group stages generating any excitement. It's going to be a long slow death for a plethora of teams.

I think all this complaining of GAAGO is a Red Herring. What do the public want? A free meal? There will always be a auld Buck with no internet, no credit card or no smart TV. If you are so concerned about them then invite them over and sort them out. There is a cohort who will always complain about access to coverage.

Personally, I think Hurling gets far to much coverage on Terrestrial TV in relation to it's nationwide popularity. The way Sean Og O'Halpin talks it's as if the whole country has been dis-enfranchised by not showing the Munster Hurling Championship.

Ulster not as strong as it has been hyped up to be. Both Derry and Cavan put to the sword, and believe me both Galway and Mayo are no great shakes.
