Lol

Actually - keep slagging off the Tyronies
Don't know what I was thinking there ...

That's it fellas- our tin pot yellow pack Taoiseach has mad a Cnut of himself by one of the many examples of fat cat cronyism still being indulged in Ireland - but deflect by slagging off the Tyronies via stupid insults.
Inda kinny isn't fit to hold such high office.
He should go back to scolding school kids and playing with other dwarves

A bit of organisation etc and the same bunch with diff formation and some positivity and belief...

Inane or me having a bitta craic at Celtic supporters, no difference to winding up Tyrone, Antrim Kerry or any other 'team'. Very sensitive and with this being a discussion board and me being a member of it, I'll come on a post what I like, I don't expect you to like it.

So I await your answer, he/she/it? what age are you?

to be fair - look at what you have just written ('ve deleted the part about lennon being a twat on the sideline)
- a bit ironic ?

each to their own I suppose but imo thats a bit juvenile at best

on the additional time played by the ref.
obv we all know the timekeeping is at the refs discretion.
it was 29 seconds from the ball went out for a sideline at the end of the game until the cork man actually took the sideline cut.
So the extra 30 seconds or so with whch Clare went up the field to score shouldnt be a big issue.

its about the only thing the ref did right in the game- and certainly the only advantage he seemed to give to clare.
it was a very bad day at the office for the ref yesterday. bordering on disgraceful officiation.

Wonder who will get the replay.

I see no reason for Dublin to change their style of play and I certainly wouldn't change the forward line unless it's to bring in Rock as a direct replacement
for someone. No reason for either team to set up to counter the other, just go out and play your own game and see who wins. It's worked for both teams so far and I would be shocked if either team changes that approach now.

If anything this game could top the Dublin/Kerry game.

I believe that this will be the sentiment of the dublin management and I believe that this will be the cause of them losing the AIF.
just imo.
If they dont heed the warning signs given them last sunday then they are very foolish imo.

Mayo have been racking up huge scores and only faltered when up against a tyrone defensive structure that bamboozled them and only itself faltered once Harte and SON went off.

Unless Dublin change their personnel and tactics for the final, Mayo will win.
Dublin need to put Cullen and Flynn as half forwards with connolly CHF (dropping Kilkenny who imo is not good enough yet for senior level - he will be though next year or thereafter).
Mayo's whole game is dropping back and having their haf back line (and corner backs) bomb forward. Similar enough to Dublin, though its only Flynn that drops back past mf unlike all 3 of mayo's hf line.

Tyrone showed ho to thwart mayo, with Mickey harte withdrawing the wing half forwards and having his own half back line attack from deep.
its no secret that it is very hard to stop a fast man running at you if there is space around.
Mayo reverted back to 90's style of kicking wides when they didnt have space in the first half v tyrone. They did not know what to do. IF Dublin alter their style a bit, they will prob meet with success.
I feel that the desire to keep talking about playing attacking football (despite having sometimes 2 and 3 men in opponents half while defending) will stop Dublin from doing this.
There is a difference in bringing men back and before opponents attack or have the ball- and while opponents attack and have the ball.

Another point I'd make is that mayo seem to take 6 steps when initially getting the ball, sprinting clear and then soloing or hopping the ball. I think refs in general have stopped penalising a lot of such indescretions but mayo certainly play just over the edge here.
likewise a good few of their players are guity of persistent charging and never penalised. refs also dont blow for ths as much and mayo seem to have figured this out - kudos to the mgt team!

imo Mayo will win this one. Ending a long drought.

Cork have a woeful manager, with no tactical know how at all.
If they had someone like McGuiness or Harte they would have won five All Ireland's with the players they have at their disposal.
A lucky All Ireland win against one of the worst teams to reach a final in the last twenty years, is all they have to show despite having an abundance of talent.
That sums up my opinion on cork too.
What a waste of talent.

Oleary is IMO the instigator in most cases ( don't think Canty is like that at all).

Ref wasn't great but equal to both teams overall IMO

That rule or whatever it is that refs see fit to penalize a wonderful bit of disposessing skill is wrong !

Cooper was 'duff-ied' !!

Quotehe certainly won the ball well, but referees have been told to give a free should this be done with the 'far' arm swinging in.

That's not in the rule book so it can't have been a free. Duffy was totally wrong but it's to be expected at this stage.
Swinging the arm in is deemed to be akin to swinging a punch - so it was a free irrespective.

Clubs and refs have been told about his in Dublin at least

Forgot alex cuthbert - also very unlucky, though I'd always have room for bowe in a side whether at centre or wing

Maybe I imagined it, but I thought odriscoll played in last weeks loss!
He did well to get on the squad let alone start given his age, average 6n and that he is physically way small for modern day intl rugby.

I think the men most snubbed here are heaslip and croft.

Yeah , the idea is good as it gives choice - but these are still only in early stages in this country.
Maybe it's just around here but i know of a few families who took their kids out of educate together schools to go back into mainstream tried and tested school- yes catholic based ones.

IMO these 'catholic schools' are not what people think they are. In the early 80's our Christian brothers school never taught religion or only a couple of teachers would pray ( eg say the angelus).
From what I hear this is commonplace now - so can't understand why people have issues with 'catholic schools'!

lads - what about all those questions I been asking? Not a wee not embarrassed by the lack of answers?

You may not like the answers I provide but I do at least have the decency to en gage in the dialogue and defend my position.
any questions have been answered.

funnily enough, you dont seem to like the answes you are getting either - running away from them or attempting to deflect by claiming 'typo' !
unless you figure out what democracy actually is, there is no point in you pretending you are engaging in any actual debate.

you will find out soon enough though, that unlike your community and their behaviour in the apartheidesque days of the 6 county abhoration, the reunited Ireland will be an easy place to live in for you folks - far from the picture you seem to have in your minds.
just the problems of normal society to contend with - once you lose the chip on your shoulder and the notion of looking to take offence.

My questions have been answered? Where?

An international border is redrawn to reflect majority different views either end of the new border gets labelled here a "false political entity". The inference is that the former Yugoslav republics are to be abolished. I ask must Yugoslavia be re-united against the democratic wishes of its people(s)? Point out the answer please.

NI has been labelled a "gerrymandered state". I have asked is the problem the precise line of the border? Who has answered this?

Some seem to favour a redrawing of the border - who is leading the political campaign for this? Would SF accept a re-drawing of the border? No answer.

Would the people in border areas of the 6 counties who voted Yes for a united Ireland in a future referendum be happy for their votes to be used to re-draw the border but not achieve a united Ireland?

What was Britain to do in the face of a vocal majority pre-partition? What are they do now with a pro-union majority? How would these proposals have played out internationally? How would it play out today? Can there ever be a United Ireland that does not have majority support north and south? Surely these are fundamental questions. I have asked them Who has answered them?

I asked two different posters if they would respect a vote by a majority in the 6 countes to stay in UK? No answers.
I asked why nobody was out in front of the cameras defending that particular political stance? No answer.

When was there last a political will in RoI to unify the island in circumstances other than in the presence of a majority in favour in NI? Question asked but not answered.

A smaller NI could have been created at the outset - who pushed for it? No answer.

On the point of violence and murder who has pointed out the achievement of Repulicans in respect of the border? Which violent acts/murders were worth it? Who has been able to justify the republican terror campaign?

Which acts of violence/murder relieved the oppression of Catholics?

Which IRA acts achieved their stated goal? (plenty to chose from)

Were the acts of violence/murder ever going to achieve a British withdrawal? How would that have played out internationally? No answers.

What good does murder motivated by retaliation do? Can retaliation be used to justify murder? No answers?

A poster indicated that because peaceful protest did not achieve its goals immediately that that was evidence enough cease operating on peaceful means and starting a campaign of terror. I asked the poster whether the campaign of violence achieved its goals immediately? No reply.

Who has pointed out the Irish ruler who has ruled the entire Island?

In the absence of this where does the obviousness of the united island come from?

I was accused of denying protestant misrule/discrimination and of defending both crimes. I asked for the refernces that form the basis of this accusation. No answers.

A poster claimed that the IRA committed acts of violence and murder to STOP unionist/loyalist violence. I asked for peer reviewed works that detail and endorses this strategy. No answers.

I asked how phoning a firm of taxis and shooting the driver, walking into a protestant owned shop and shooting someone behind the counter or planting a bomb in the centre of a majority protestant town not be considered targeting? No answer.
I asked whether broad brush targeting made acts more justifable? No answers.
Yep the majority of those have been dealt with or discussed on the thread I believe, if not in direct answer to your posts.
Others are non questions - such as the drawing up of/re-drawing of the border, only you seem keen on this.

Its not me who is calling for a redrawing of the border.

And no the questions have not been answered. May I should pick 3 or 4 as an initail batch and ask you to pint out where they have been answered?
Your questions have been addressed.

In answer to your question about taxi drivers or betting shops - I don't know whether the targets were legitimate or not.
A lot of innocents were killed too which is terrible, but like the hunger strikers , they were casualties of war whatever way you look at it.it was all avoidable, if only the persecution and oppression on apartheid lines had not been enforced for the decades pre reding the late 1960's retaliation.
Maybe tell us what actions among these by unionist/loyalist/b specials/ruc/udr caused the need for retaliation and why did these people have to try and tread down on the 'second class citizen' Irish/catholic/nationalist? Why did they kill, kidnap, maim and destroy?
We're they any better or worse than the IRA?
Any other people in history who have been violated have generally had to fight back. No different here.

We, the original 'victims' want to move on and are tryi g to 'trust' our former persecutors- that's why I know it's not beyond the unionist/loyalist community to now do likewise- though the fear to do so is more out of knowing it will faster facilitate a reunited Ireland.
