Pushing back the date requires all 27 to support.

Withdrawing 50 is unilateral by the UK only

Whitey,
How can you agree with Trump on taxes and regulation?

He doesn't have a tax policy, and while I'm good with deregulating business surely some protection of the health of Americans and the environment may be a win all around?

the text of the referendum was :
Should the United Kingdom remain a member of the European Union or leave the European Union?

now that they know the terms of the withdrawal the referendum question for a second ballot must surely be

Should the United Kingdom remain a member of the European Union or exit the EU under the awful terms negotiated by the Government in 2018 who don't have a leg to stand on and will not only bankrupt the country but lose hundred of thousands of jobs, reduce your wages and lose Northern Ireland back to the Republic from whom we should never have taken it?

There is a shot that a heavy defeat for May could result in no Brexit at all.

Interesting at the weekend to hear some Armagh farmers saying they would have a better deal and a louder voice on a "single island". Which is obviously a very different thing than a United Ireland. The ceasefire in the North, the death of McGuinness and the step away from Adams have made this a topic which can be discussed in public and given serious conversation. I didn't hear the word Lundy once.

44% of Americans pay no tax
The average American pays about $11000 long way to 7 million

Not sure what you're saying here?

the top 1% already pay a disproportionate amount of the overall tax take

That is an opinion I would entirely disagree with.

Both sides need to take the blinkers and spin off for a minute. Income tax is not how you tax the wealthy.
A fair taxation system does not penalise salaries, it taxes capital gains and wealth accumulation without reinvestment.
A system which taxes high salaries makes money only for accountants, not for government.

The tax code in the US is now so complex that is is utterly beyond the comprehension of a single person.
A significant simplification, the removal of all of the special interest and lobbyist additions, the promotion of fair taxation which rewards labor and incentivizes education,  healthcare, charitable donations and growth.

My mortgage is pre tax, but education and health care are post tax?
Horrible.

Man City blip continues. Lacked that push from the middle today. Liverpool and Spurs both in top form. Also Salah dived.

EL PASO, Texas (AP) - U.S. immigration authorities say an 8-year-old boy from Guatemala has died in government custody.

What did he die from?  Did his parents drag him through the dessert for days on end without food or water?

As I said when Trump got elected, the continuous faux outrage just leads people to tune out!

BTW-are the customs agents sadists or nazis or both this time out?

Trifle or custard?

Given the season they just came off, it was unlikely to expect another blip free season from City, but they are having a blip. 4 points at this stage is great but the test is still significant. Whether Liverpool can sustain a CL campaign and the premier league is a very open question. City will come back pouring on the goals. a key player injury free Liverpool would be required to hold off that challenge

Interesting week in US politics, first time I have seen the main stream Republicans turn against Trumpski.

Most worried are those that are going to be on the slate with him in 2020.

Pence may well be the president going for reelection in 2020

Follow the money
