Say it quietly around the Reds on here, but if Klopp goes this season without winning the title will his tenure be deemed as an underachievement?

After all they have been the best team in the world since he took over  ;)

Granted they ran into a City team in their prime, but one Covid EPL title seems to be underwhelming.

Unpopular opinion I'm guessing.

I can honestly say that Kildare people give out about Dublin getting money, but many will admit that we wouldn't spend it well even if theyt threw millions at us.

Like all the money kicking around in 98-2000 and we had the absoilute worst grounds in the country. We did build a centre of excellence eventually.

Then we see that Conleths is finally getting done up, but there are images where some seats will have near zero visibility of the pitch! I hope that's wrong...

Also Kildare chat highlights the lack of quality pundits. They know some names like Dan Flynn and then say we have good players, but iof they watched any of our games you'd know he has been unfit for 2 years and playing poorly.

Like Louth are no great shakes and Ger Brennan was a bad club manager in Kildare, so the Dubs being what they are does not excuse us losing to them.

So at the the boiler there are two pumps one for the rads and the other for heating the water.

If the spindle isn't spinning then the motor isn't working and that was the case, I said can ya fix it? nope, its a throw away world, ya need a new one

The plumber said that the water should still warm up though, it isn't, anyways I've been doing the Wim Hof experience for the last 3 days!

Did the pump look like this?

I've three of these feckers in the house and one will need replaced.

There's isolating valves either side of it, so toying with the idea of doing it myself, but as they're in the hotpress and don't want to make a balls of it.

Am I getting ahead of myself here but if United get their arse in gear they could do some damage next year...

Liverpool are done. Klopp is a Fergie type whose personality papered over cracks. Salah will go to Saudi or USA. A lot of their team has serious miles in the legs.

City can only buy so many lads, and if KDB is getting injured more often. They also buy a lot of similar players bar Haaland.

If Arsenal buy a striker and don't run Saka into the ground they have a young central defence and midfield who will grow.

This season is there ANY hope that City could wobble. That was a fairly draining Champions League defeat...

Quote from: HokeyPokey on April 18, 2024, 11:11:48 PMIt will be interesting to see if Mattie does play at 6. He could add real solidity there potentially if he is back to himself.

Really don't see how Matty starts at 6 unless as a sweeper and someone else picks up the marking job on a Cavan forward
I struggle to see how Matty starts at all to be honest having missed so much of the league

McKiernan has nailed 6 and will surely start there, its a dummy team, expect Aidan Clarke to start corner back

My prediction is Matty doesn't start and comes in off the bench for the second half or last 20mins depending on how its going, deployment also as required, could be middle third could be FF

I wish they would bring in a rule to stop teams announcing dummy teams. Should be a rule to only allow minimum changes. e.g. 2

Quote from: Captain Scarlet on April 16, 2024, 04:35:00 PMThere is a lot of back and forth re Dublin who I think we should all admit would dominate any province. They are dominating the All-Ireland long enough so it's fair to say their depth would manage Ulster too.

But, that doesn't excuse Kildare and Meath especially. They should be up and around Div 1 or solid Div 2. I know lads are saying when we are waiting to be hammered in Leinster it breeds a bad vibe, but the league is something different and Kildare were annihilated by Cork and Derry last year. That is not excuseable.

There will be a reset and some fresh blood on the pitch and on the line next year, but the Dubs are going nowhere!

It does create a bad vibe. And you can't just switch that on or off for league football.

When people argued that Dublin benefitted from financial advantages 5 years back we were told that it was a once in a life time team. That we should laud them while they are here. How does that argument stack up now?
Are they that far ahead? A Monaghan team on its last legs ran then close last year, a Kerry team thats good but nothing special ran them close in the final with their main man having an off day. Derry drew with them in the league final.  Outside the old guard they are a very good but not unbelievable side.

Pretty sure the pump doesn't heat the water  ;)
From my limited plumbing experience.

That's probably my bad on the explaining part. More so the pump that pumps the water to the cylinder in the hot press?

Either way the pump needs replaced lol

To be fair he was a bit confused on why it still wasn't heating the water.

Fingers crossed that it will be solved today, at some point maybe next week who knows with tradesmen

I started out after school as YTP with the housing executive when I left school doing plumbing, at that time all the executives houses were having central heating installed around Belfast, the lure of more money as an apprentice at a different trade elsewhere was too much (at the time) to refuse!

Must be serious money to be made as a decent tradesperson considering the lack of them about

I remember reading about this fella, Michael Davis, a comedy juggler of all things. The bit I read about him described his mastery of comedic timing as unsurpassed by anyone. Hard to argue when you watch him. If you've never seen him, I recommend you spend 9 minutes of your time to watch him in action as he performed for then US president Ronald Reagan:

No real surprise didn't think they'd risk McKinless from the start and he's a great impact sub.

No Murphy on the bench??

Wondered about that myself. Unless he's injured maybe?
It's almost full strength starting lineup with only McKinless missing out. If he's not fully fit, I wouldn't risk him at all at any stage, unless we really need him.
