I think George is a Down man there Tony, but you're welcome to him.

Interesting debate all the same and to go off on a tangent we'd the young lads up in the "paddy" Blair Mayne leisure centre in Newtownards the last few Sunday mornings for a bit of indoor hurling and as you go through one of the entrances from the car park there's a set of pictures of sporting greats from the borough on the wall, The bould Paddy (not a terrorist though) himself, Nigel Carr etc etc but no Ciara McGeehan or Rhys McClenaghan and him from the town...

Strange.

But to answer the original question, surely we're all proud of the great, great Rory McIlroy.  ;)

Fair point as he's over the in East. And no thanks.

Jimmy Nesbitt born Ballymena but must have been reared in Coleraine.

I thought that frostbit boy was tyrone. Jesus. He's still probably not as annoying as Brolly though  ;D

Worldwide fame - would have to be Enya I think.

More domestically... Daniel, his sister Margo, the rest of Enya's family i.e. Clannad, Rory Gallagher (although shared with Cork)

Holiday homers - Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick

Non-GAA sports - Packie, Shay and Seamus

You're selling Armagh so short there;

Ian Paisley
Wullie Frazer
Billy Wright

I was also going to add Robin Jackson but it turns out he's a Down man...

Ivan Cooper
Martin Mcguinness
Phil Coulter
Eamon Coleman
