Maybe in newry, but a semi final in Armagh a couple of years ago attracted 2,500 and a final the year before attracted between 4,000-5,000. Both were cracking games too.

The club c'ships have become more popular which have seen crowds decrease. But at least 5,000 fans obviously give a hoot, including yourself, who has posted quite a bit on this thread

Edit: also, the Rules had 82,000 7 or 8 years ago, now there's less than half that amount.

These were the days before TV land offered Club championship, Intercounty League and Championship from the beginning to the end of the year. To see some (or all) of the top players one had to go to a Railway Cup game. You could imagine the attraction.

Venues not decided yet. The dubs will probably have their holiday away on that weekend.
