Well that the evening ruined for a hundred or so players, and roughly the same number of spectators.

If they went ahead of with it tonight it would be an evening ruined for a hundred or so players, and roughly no spectators.

Maybe in newry, but a semi final in Armagh a couple of years ago attracted 2,500 and a final the year before attracted between 4,000-5,000. Both were cracking games too.

And there used be 40,00 at finals one time.
Very few care two hoots about it now.

The club c'ships have become more popular which have seen crowds decrease. But at least 5,000 fans obviously give a hoot, including yourself, who has posted quite a bit on this thread ;)

Edit: also, the Rules had 82,000 7 or 8 years ago, now there's less than half that amount.

These were the days before TV land offered Club championship, Intercounty League and Championship from the beginning to the end of the year. To see some (or all) of the top players one had to go to a Railway Cup game. You could imagine the attraction.

Captain Obvious

Ulster wanted the semi finals rescheduled for this weekend but others have said NO.

So, therefore Ulster says "YES".

Play it over christmas holidays. Drop the missus to the sales, or indeed anywhere, and head to the match.

Ulster v Munster
Leinster v Connacht

Penciled in for December 10th with the final on the following day. Will it go ahead this year as planned?

Dessie won't be around this time. Unless his brother shows himself.

Where's it being played?

Rossfan

Have to be in Croker to cope with the crowd :)

If you were any use you'd be playing.

Venues not decided yet. The dubs will probably have their holiday away on that weekend.
