Nah I think any Armagh fans worth anything at all will look to the Dublin match as a marker of where they are at.  Remind me what happened Tyrone against Dublin while you clutch at a few more straws there.

Tyrone were still playing in August, where were Armagh?

I want an apology from the Nationwide for supporting the Norn Iron. I feel really comfortable passing their premises and feel my human rights have been violated.

Are you drunk?

No, touch of a head cold though.

Are you Polish? We have a Polish girl in work, her English is quite similar to yours.

Where is the abuse pog? Archie says you are a "sad basta*d" who trawls through peoples posts. We only say what we see, you take that whatever way you want. You sit here, day in, day out, criticising everyone and anyone. Waiting for someone to post something  that you don't agree with. I`m not the one sitting posting at 9am on a Sunday. Is this board your only connection to the GAA ?
Matty Burrows scored a cracking goal, maybe you cant give him credit for it as you have found it impossible to do it on your xbox. I see he scored another one yesterday. Another fluke?
No, you're posting at 3.12am on a Sunday Morning  :D

Some of us turn our computers off for a wee while and go out for a few pints on a Saturday night. I was thinking of coming home and starting a thread asking what I should have to eat, but I went to Friar Tucks instead.

Mourne Rover, you are one of the better posters on this forum. You provide great reports from county games and have a good club knowledge and I don't often find myself disagreeing with you, but I do on this one. I know a fair few Down men who cheered for the Dubs in 77, some of them are regular posters here. I would never support Armagh, not even with POR on board. I know a lot of Down men who feel the same. It has nothing to do with bitterness, its a local rivalry, usually healthy, but one that can go beyond that at times.
In saying that I gave my tickets to a friend from South Armagh for the 2002 All Ireland final so him and his son could go together and while I was supporting Kerry that day, I was the first man to call to his house to congratulate him when he came home. I shook hands with a lot of Armagh men in the weeks after the 2002 final and I was delighted for them. They deserved it.
What Armagh people seem to forget, especially some on this board, is that football wasn't invented in 1999 or 2002. Our games go back much further than that. Cavan, Down, Donegal and Derry were winning All Irelands long before Armagh knew there was anything other than losers medals available in Dublin. Tyrone threw their hat into the ring in 2003 and have won 3 All Irelands since then also. So until Armagh win a few more they really should remember that they are on the bottom rung of the All Ireland ladder and will stay there for the foreseeable future. They often accuse us of living in the past, yet 2002 is a quickly fading memory. Until they have won more than us, they should remember their place.

I wouldnt call it bitterness at all Pat. What have we to be bitter about. We ve had a bit more success than you, not a lot, but more. We have nothing to be bitter about. You on the other hand......

Edited to add, there were no Cork flags flying in Tyrone, Derry or Antrim. No one was wearing Cork jersies there either. If you want to see bitterness have a look in the mirror.

Do I have to spell it out for you?

Armagh are not in bad times.  End of silliness.

They were never in the good times either. Their singular, solitary win is all they have. Know your place. Armagh had a good time. We won it.............
How many times?

Well your the sad b**tard that went through my last posts to check. I don't be on the board that much now, but some things never change i.e. you. Your still a miserable p***k.

Archie, I owe you a pint, you say it like it is. Fair play. Pints is just a sad old miserable man. Exercise for him is FIFA 2011 on the PS3. Anyone who isn't wrapped up in their own self pitying, shitty little world can give Burrows the credit he deserves.
FFS even thewobbler, as good a GAA man as there is on the board can give him credit. It was a fantastic strike, he swung a boot  at it, deep in injury time and he won the game. A hell of a result in any game. Its the Irish League, so what, they still deserve credit.
I followed Portadown for years. Joey Cunningham, Mickey Keenan, yer man Marty from Derrybeg, Casey from Mourneview, despite the reputation of that town, no one ever said boo to us, we were always welcome in Shamrock Park. But stories like that don't suit sad f*cks like you, sit and snipe all you want, it was a cracker, worthy of any league. I only played in the Carnbane league, if I`d even attempted a shot like that, I may have gone a bit further. If only.

Compared to other grounds in the premier league it is a kip. Its cramped, very cramped in fact, poor enough facilities and there is nothing but derelict houses around it. It should have been replaced or revamped a long time ago. They really should go for a ground share with Everton. Good atmosphere though.

QuoteNew attendance limit at the Athletic Grounds will be 25k.

I'm not sure it is so high Mackers. I have a notion it is in and around 19K.

Wouldnt be like the armagh men to exaggerate.  ::)

Now that the 'bad-times' have come again for Armagh I wonder will the county board have to go to the press to ask Armagh fans to attend their championship games like in the 80's?

Like the 80s? You have a short memory, didnt Big Joe moan about the lack of fans travelling to Donegal a few years back.

Anfield the envy of most of the league? Have you ever been? Its a kip.

Exactly, nobody is having a go at the fella. Fair play to him, it was a great goal, but our point is that was also lucky. I played soccer in my day and would loved to have scored a goal like that, but it wasnt the best goal ever scored.

There is an element of luck in almost everything we do. Put it this way, do you believe in the lucky punch theory? I remember watching a fight years ago when Iran The Blade Barkley knocked out The Hitman. Everyone reckoned it was a lucky punch, but in my book he meant to throw that punch, he meant to hit Hearns and his intention was to knock him out. Likewise Burrow. He had a go, it went into the top corner and it was a cracking goal. Certain people just cant give credit because it was an Irish league game. If Rooney or Torres had scored it we`d never hear the end of it.
