GAA Discussion / Kerry v Mayo NFL D1; Round 1
January 28, 2015, 05:51:25 PM
No win situation for Mayo. As in win the match and it won't matter a jot in Aigust (when we can't beat them), lose it and can't beat Kerry's second/third string side.

GAA Discussion / Mayo v Kerry 2nd March. Beo ar TG4

Sick of looking back at that Tyrone thread. Even they have moved on so I think we should too. Obviously we won't have any knowledge on our panel until after Castlebar play Crokes, and should the Mitchels win it, then it will be up to the newer players to step up to the mark.

Mayo / Mayo Club 51

Anybody here a member of this new supporters group? Just wondering, I'm not joined up yet. I believe they're having a pre-match get together in Newbridge on Sunday though.

GAA Discussion / Lost my programme from Sunday
August 27, 2013, 03:07:23 PM
Any way the GAA could send out a new one to me? Obviously I would have to pay for it, but I wouldn't mind that. And yes...I retraced my steps and have no idea where it could be.

Just putting this one up. Match takes place in St. Joseph's Park Knockmore on 31st of August at 7pm. I'm not entirely sure of the whole line up, but on the Mayo side Martin Carney, Liam McHale, Ciaran McDonald, TJ Kilgallon, Kevin McStay, Willie Joe Padden as well as our own Ray Dempsey, Kevin Staunton and Kevin O'Neill will feature. Meanwhile Joe Brolly, Padraic Joyce, Bernard Flynn, Eeamon O'Hara, Tony McManus and Martin McHugh will feature for Rest of Ireland. Any donation welcome with all proceeds going to Cystic Fibrosis.

Don't know YET if I'll make it or not. More than likely won't. But it is turning out to be a do or die for both teams if both want to remain in Division 1 in 2014.

GAA Discussion / Mayo v Leitrim - 24-6-12
June 09, 2012, 12:11:18 PM
Mayo you'd imagine will win this one. I hate sounding cocky or arrogantcbecause Mayo often let you down, but it's hard to see Leitrim winning. I expect similar personnel from Mayo. Maybe FF line getting a few new faces. McG a major plus too imo.

GAA Discussion / Connacht U-21 Championship 2012
March 09, 2012, 08:50:42 PM
Don't expect to see Mayo or Galway put out the young players this weekend, as they meet each other in the preliminary round on Wednesday night (14th) in McHale Park Castlebar. Here's hoping Mayo can give the U-21 championship a good go this year. It's going to be very hard to do though. Galway, as All-Ireland Champions won't want to go down to Mayo, whereas, this Mayo U-21 model is as good as any Mayo U-21 team. Hopefully Mayo will do the business on Wednesday night. If there's another Connacht U-21 2012 thread out there I'll delete it.

P.S, Roscommon await the winners the following Wednesday, in Kiltoom, and with all due respect to Sligo and Leitrim, it's hard to see either of those getting their names on the Connacht title this year anyway.

Any thoughts lads? Will Mayo get it tight once again? I mean we beat Roscommon by 2 in FBD and Leitrim by 4. Ros were barely able to field you'd swear. We beat 2 college teams convincingly, albeit with home advantage. Laois are probably targetting this game to give themselves a platform to stay in the division. I'll travel in hope Mayo can pull off a victory.

General discussion / GAAboard feuds
September 25, 2011, 10:45:43 PM
Might be nothing to these, but laoislad v ross4life for me is an ongoing feud. Also Nally Stand and mayogodhelpus. Anyone else? Fearon v Trevor Hill got nasty too. These are merely from reading posts on the general discussion part of the board.

GAA Discussion / Donegal's year perhaps?
August 01, 2011, 09:22:46 PM
Seeing that they're refusing to lie down when they're seemingly down and out. They will have to be taken seriously from here on in. Their gameplan is doing them no harm either. I have a feeling Sam's heading to the hills.
