They have to finish the current season, there is no fair way to abandon it with all the implications for relegation and promotion as well as champions league places. Liverpool winning it is a done deal whether they finish the league or not.

Playing games behind closed doors will be a reality. It is a safe and time effective solution to getting the season finished. In terms of players being too close to each other. They can be tested before games and are all fit young men.

Season restart
It was acknowledged that the Premier League will not resume at the beginning of May – and that the 2019/20 season will only return when it is safe and appropriate to do so.

There you have it, right outcome. Liverpool Football Club WILL be crowned Champions.

Everyone has to go back to work eventually and when they do there will be nerves and worries but life goes on.

Relax. I'm not sure you understand the statement.
Once all those things as you say that are more important are sorted out, then the football will return and Liverpool will lift the trophy.
It's all good ;D

If say, they abandon 19/20 season and start the 20/21 season in Aug/Sept. But what if there's another wave of the virus? You'll have to stop play for another few months, and that could be 2 seasons left unfinished.

Better to complete 19/20 first.

But the young and fit are not immune, that's all I'm pointing out, Belgian FA have awarded the leagues as is.

Liverpool are not going to lose, it's the other positions I'm talking about, relegation promotion. The premiership race has been finished for a while

People need to get this through their heads. Unless the vaccine comes out this summer, there are going to be additional waves of this circulating the globe this winter. Football might get going in September or October, but there is a good chance it will end up suspended again.

The relegation/promotion is the hardest thing to figure out.
Very unfair on Villa and Bournemouth to say the league is done and you're relegated.
Or very unfair on Leeds and West Brom to say, leagues are void you need to start in the Championship from scratch again.

Now maybe unfairness one way or the other will have to win out, because it's only football.

But the alternative is to finish the season, no matter how long that takes. Then maybe a shortened next season.
For example, a 19 game season next year with only playing each side once. Some kind of a lottery to decide who gets the extra home game.
Or if there's enough time, play a 28 game season. A hard break after 19 games with the Top 10 fixed, and only play the other 9 teams in your half - so the top teams are playing for the title and European spots, while the bottom 10 are playing for relegation and just play each other.

Two games until the play off part of the league when league splits in two and points are halved.
So technically only a 7 point lead with 8 games to go.
