Does Club Mayo Dublin only give funding to issues around the perp of the senior inter county football team? I always assumed they were fundraising on Mayo GAA's behalf, well that's what it looked like to me from here. Do they give similar funding to other teams, u21 football, minor football, junior footballers,  Senior hurlers (who play close enough to as many games as the senior footballers do in a year). If they do fair play and good job.  Because if they don't give it out to all, they are not doing fundraising on behalf of Mayo GAA just one single part of Mayo GAA.

The article  says that it's not the County Board who came up with the decision but GAA top brass from my reading of it and the county board have had to enforce it
QuoteUnfortunately, the continued presence of Club Mayo Dublin is jeopardising our unique financial plan with Croke Park, including the significant draw-down of funds to complete our works whereby they have insisted that all fund-raising come under the County Committee.

I am against Gay people adopting because it could lead to bullying of the child in later life.

IMO one of the fundamental aspects of adoption is giving the child a loving mother and father. It is not fair for a child to be adopted by either two men or two women and thus be deprived of a loving father/mother figure in their childhood.

If that makes me ignorant and intolerant then that's what I am.

If they child is bullied in later life because of his gay adoptive parents, what does that say about the loving mother and father that raised the child the that's the bully and the upbringing they had.

Just had a look at the video of it there on youtube after hearing about it yesterday, On first glance does the Derrytresk lad with the clipboard not throw a kick at the number four right at the start of this before the corner back reacts, in the three to four second mark and it all kicks off.

You can get a place in DCU with only 140 points if your good enough at sport,  http://www.dcu.ie/registry/forms/pdfs/R13.pdf
According to their application for all you need to get on the "Elite Sportsperson Entry Scheme is"
QuoteMinimum Entry Requirements

• Applicants must satisfy the minimum entry requirements for admission to the university which are as follows:
Leaving Certificate with Grade C3 in two Higher Level subjects and Grade D3 in four Ordinary or Higher Level
subjects (which must include Mathematics and English or Irish), or an approved equivalent.

Two C3's in Higher Level Subjects and four D3's in ordinary level subjects in the Leaving Cert is only 140pts,  Compare that to the entry requirements for those not so blessed in to be a talented sportsperson http://www.careersportal.ie/courses/simple_search.php?s_course_title=&s_CAO_code=&s_college=DCU  That's minimum entry requirements for the University not the course Stronghold

Gallagher goes on an awful lot about creating jobs and bringing them to Ireland. My recollection from last night when asked how many jobs his company currently employee. I think his answer was something in the region of 20. While it's nothing to be sniffed at and fair play to him for having created the jobs in the first place. But there are plenty other business people around the place who have created much more.

Going to NY in October lads, was hoping to take a few days to go somewhere else as well. We were thinking Atlantic city but it doesn't sound good. What would people recommend? We also are considering Boston, Washington or maybe the Catskills.

Was in New York in the summer with a few lads rented a car and headed off on a road trip for a few days. Washington was good, lots to see and do, the Museums are top class the Air and Space museum especially if your into that sort of thing. Very business town and a lot seemed to shut down early enough at night compared to NY. Some good bars in the Georgetown area for pints and the like.  Atlantic City was alright, casinos were good laugh, but the city itself was a bit of a dump in my opinion. Took a spin through Baltimore on the way down to Washington but didn't stay long there to have a real look at the place.

One of them has a load of boys sitting on the roof of the small terrace roof on the roadside of the Hyde, they wouldn't have last a minute the last day up there
