Fuckin desperate, but there is a simple fact here, human life is a lot less valued by some races. This is not a racist statement just how it is.

We in the west value a western life much more than we do any other nationality/creed.

Governments and big business do for sure.

A cat which was elected mayor of an Alaskan town 15 years ago has been badly injured in a dog attack.

Maybe we could try this in the 6 counties.

Elect only two parties, one of cats and the other of dogs, and see how they get on. It could actually useful for some of today's politicians to observe the outcome.

For example the cats would be upset at the dogs need to chase them everywhere every now and then. The dogs would insist that this is their traditional activity as decreed by their God, Mother Nature. The cats would point out that is rather stressful to them, and is the reason for some of the serious scratchings inflicted upon the dogs.

The dogs would whinge about the need for the cats to decommission their claws. The cats would obviously need many, many clarifications on what this actually meant before any movement on the issue. The cats would need some major ground conceded with regard to the allegations of doggy policemen colluding while playing 'fetch' with stray dogs and other undesirables. The cats would also be understandably be fed up with unemployed dogs barking at their kittens while going to school.

It could be interesting to watch.

The Gathering has been some lot of bollix. Every hoor is being tortured by far off American cousins looking to come and stay with them. Now this.......

Yankee bastids.

It's been the best promotional drive in the island's history. It's also brought many local communities even closer together by motivating them to set up all sorts of events and activities.

Gabey Bryne looks a prize chump right now.

Got this mail from a pal - unreal

The kid brother's new restaurant in Clapham is getting brilliant reviews and he's attracting a lot of attention.
Here is a review from last week's Guardian from a reviewer who is highly regarded.
However, an unexpected bonus was the attention that was paid to one of the commenters – it went 'viral' as they say and the restaurant had radio stations ringing them up about it.

Read the comment from Angelique Murphy and the responses to it.
It's not a spoof. I don't think you could make it up.

I had to struggle past this sort of stuff:

Take those peas: cooked just enough that there's still bite, with weeny cubes of blanched celery, fronds of celery leaf, torn nasturtium leaves and a mound of mousse so light it looks set to float off the plate. It has a wreathed-in-sunshine brightness of flavours. The pork belly's skin is so thin and crisp, its flesh and fat so marshmallowy, it's like eating piggy crème brûlée.

But then I got to the comments. And it is serious!
