No, of course it is not. Some things will occur in a war that should not and they should be stopped as far as possible. However, the bulk of the blame lies with the country that started the war by invading another one and the war can be stopped by that county withdrawing its forces.

In the twilight zone rambling that we are seeing here, there is a lot of crap about America encouraging Ukraine to join NATO. As far as I know, nobody has ever said that Ukraine should join NATO, but the Ukrainians want to join. In the 1990s Ukraine decommissioned its nuclear weapons and much of its munitions, and it received security guarantees from the US and Russia. Given that Russia has shown every intention of reneging on its agreement Ukraine inevitably sought protection from their other guarantor, WTF do you expect them to do? Lie down and let Russia occupy them?

Ukraine gave up the Soviet nuclear weapons stationed on its soil of which Ukraine had physical but no effective operational control .

And was given security guarantees by the West.

What ever about the local politicians running for Westminster - the only real interest I have in that is the nationalist v unionist count at the end of it. An increase in the number of nationalists might nudge us further towards a border poll.

It feels inevitable that the Tories are going to lose in a landslide Labour victory and as much as I want to see that, I can't help but feel Starmer is not going to change much. I'm not a fan of his. It's such a pity Labour aren't going in with a Corbyn-esque leader who I think would do some real good. I know he wasn't everyone's cup of tea, but I think he was honest and had the good of all people at heart.

Was it a revenge attack for decades of oppression on the Palestinians?

Was it an attempt to start a war?

Was it an attempt to derail the normalization of relations between Israel and other Muslim Countries?

Netanyahu was like Tyson Fury on Saturday night and would likely have been removed from office. Why did they give him this lifeline ?

On a scale of 1-10 how did they think Israel would respond ? (1 being do nothing, 10 being dropping a nuke)

They wanted to stop Saudi normalising relations with Israel, they wanted to put Palestine back on the agenda and they wanted to swap hostages for prisoners. Israel will never be seen in the same light again.

Yes, he referred to two different groups / lists of commitments - one was in relation to new / improved centres of excellence (with both Armagh and Monaghan getting a mention) and the other to GAA Stadium infrastructure projects - this latter list included Kerry, Tipp, Louth, Meath, Kildare and Antrim.

I don't think adding money to GAA grounds does the games much good. Pairc ui chaoimh is a great warning

They do not need tens of millions each.

Casement does need 10s of millions.

This is a circular issue. What sort of improvement levels does it need? does it need to be ready for the Euros ?

RTÉ doesn't have a business model and the Govt aren't going to give them much more than pocket money.
