Title: Priomh membership
Post by: The Worker on July 20, 2011, 07:46:45 PM
Just wondering has anyone signed up to the Priomh ticket exchange membership?

it costs €75 for 1 year and allows you access to purchase up to 4 premium level seats per game.

What is the likelihood of premium tickets being available? I imagine that you should get them for all games bar the finals (in which you have no hope) would this be right?

i wouldnt think it is worth signing up to in all honesty.
that 75 euor you have to pay would get 1 person in to 3 championship games or more if you use the terracing.
How much then do the Premium tickets cost?
How many sell out games are there now at Croke park.
I think only the Finals sold out last year, and to be honest i heard of quite a few tickets floating about on AI final day

Just a question.  Would Mid Down Gael not just need any premium level ticket?  Can't imagine that they'll be sold out and all that would be needed is a ticket to get you into the bar.

I assume the seats are still numbered? I suppose if you want to be one of the slightly embarrassing fellas who go to a game and watch it through a pane of glass you might get away with sneaking around the sections like James Bond.

You'll definitely get away with jumping into any section during the league (and most of championship)

I sit in 531 (half way line) and there are always loads of seats available

Still fondly remember sitting in half way line section of Hogan premium for the Fermangh Mayo semi final replay in 2004 with Premium Tickets that were three weeks out of date and for seats in the Davin section ;D

Wouldnt get away with that these days!

The best/cheapest way is if ye know anyone that has the 10 year season seats.
They automatically get the option to use the priomh login to buy 4 more tickets or sell their own seats.

I have used it a good few times and unless the Dubs have a big game or its the AI final ye can nearly always get tickets though getting more than 3 or 4 together can be tough the odd time.
I had 4 last weekend at €20 each in 533.

is this true?
why then apart from the AIf would group of of lads ever buy more than one tickets.  share the cost between 4 and have a draw for the final its almost good value then

Is what true rosnarun?

Either you've misunderstood me or I've misunderstood you.
What I'm saying is lets say I paid for the 10 year ticket scheme.
This gives me the opportunity to log into the priomh website where I can either sell my own ticket if I'm not going to a certain match or if I have 4 mates that want to go to a game, I can buy them 4 tickets that other people will be selling who aren't going to that game.

The tickets for the league game last week were €20 but for championship matches they're normally similar prices to the main stand tickets or a bit dearer I think.

so 1 ten year ticket (plus 4 match tickets)can get 5 people into the premium section of most games.
12k for a ticket *5people / 10 years  =         €240 each and you can lord it up like a rich bastard
plus you can sell on any hurling matches sounds good to me

Im a Priomh Member since the Davin was finished and you are correct you can sell your seats when your not attending HOWEVER you only get 50% of the sale price and its put on a card that you have to use inside Croke Park or else purchase other ticket with.

If I can be any further help let me know but I have felt sore about a few things concerning the Premium level in recent years...so I may be a little negative on forking out 12K which is always a lot of money but in the current climate its bordering on "value for money".  Lets assume your not from Dublin, this season you would have the opportunity to attend something like 10-12 Major games excluding League Finals and Club Finals.  Hard to know if that is value for money when match tickets can usually be picked up for most games excluding the finals?

Anyway thats my rant over...all things considered cant wait till the 2 double headers at the weekend!

Buying premium level tickets on line for a game is good value I have found. They are normally just slightly dearer than the stand tickets and you are guaranteed the facilities that the level brings. Bar food etc.

Tickets for the AIFs however tend to be almost double the price of stand tickets. There does be a few of them floating about too!!!

Got an e-mail today asking me to consider joining this ticket exchange!!  Is it worthwhile?  If Tyrone progress will it be a worthy investment?

You pay 100? euros to be given the opportunity to buy tickets on premium level.

If you do You will probably be able to get tickets for Tyrone games for quarter and semi if they get there but I doubt there would be any on sale for the final if they get there,  and even if there are any  the price will be almost double the ordinary match ticket!!! ( and you will have to be quick to snap them up too)
