1. Aim left with your drive, or you'll get blocked out with your second. The green runs downhill
2. Keep your drive on the left side.
Be careful crossing the road.

6. Tough par 4. Needs a good drive with little fade, or a big fade on the second. Don't overdo the fade or you'll be donating a golf ball to Rathmore Grammar School.

14. Two options. Either a 3-wood of the tee, but you will have trouble stopping the ball on the green. Or a driver of the tee, but needs to be straight with a delicate fade at the end

15. This is the hole that everyone talks about. Take a 6 or 7 iron of the tee. Don't try to cut the corner. Then a long iron onto the green. I've seen boys reduced to tears on this hole.

No bother. I just noticed a calamitous error on the first. I should have said stay on the right side of the fairway.

Excellent..I will still aim left though and use my embarrassing slice deliberate power fade to finish on the right hand side for that one.

Rory McIlroy continued his recovery from his Masters disappointment by taking the joint lead of the Malaysia Open with a second-round 64.

The 21-year-old, who blew a four-shot lead going into the final round at Augusta and finished 15th, is tied on 11 under with Sweden's Alexander Noren.

"I've played really well," said McIlroy. "The difference [on Friday] was that I made a few putts."

Play was suspended for three hours on Friday because of lightning.

But by that time McIlroy was already back in the clubhouse on the back of a flawless round of golf that saw him sink eight birdies.

He started on the 10th tee and rattled off three birdies in his first four holes, before following up with a cool 12-foot putt at the 16th and another three at the par-four 17th.

Coming home, McIlroy added three more birdies to move alongside first-round leader Noren, who fired a three-under-par round of 69 to add to his opening-day 64.

And when asked whether his round had proved to him he was over his Masters misery, McIlroy said: "It would show more to everyone else other than myself that last week didn't set me back.

"I've started this week off great but I need to keep going and making birdies and shooting low scores if I want to win.

"Eleven under after two days here is a great effort considering I've travelled so far and not seeing the course. I'm happy with how I played."
