Title: Medical cannabis

When are the elected representatives going to listen, not only to the medical professionals, but also the people whose lives are so affected by seizures, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's. I think it is neglect and abuse to deny people the use of medical cannabis. I've seen firsthand the difference it makes, with clients who have daily seizures and those with MS and Parkinson's.

I have been taking medical marijuana for a year. It's made a huge difference to my life. It has many benefits but the biggest one for me is the quality of sleep that I am getting.

FFS,
Isn't the venture capitalist husband of Mrs May heavily invested in one of the biggest producers of cannabis oil in the UK.

Hypocrisy of the highest order.

I'm sorry, I'm not trying to pry but does your experience with cannabioids come from your work as a pharmacist or nurse or doctor? Essentially I'm asking what you do for a living.

I work in Health and Social Care as a support worker, working with people with a wide range of physical and learning disabilities. At the minute I work with young people who are non verbal, have autism, severe epilepsy and physical disabilities. My experience with cannabis oils comes from personal experience also.

Like alcohol all cannabis in Canada will be controlled by the provincial distribution board. I know some of the bosses in British Columbia and they believe theres real money to be made with the regulation of cannabis.  They don't think there is any money in growing it. There are too many growers and the market is saturated with raw product.  The money is in repackaging it - edibles, oils... I'd love to hear if anyone is working on anything ?

Huge money to be made in the delivery platform, retail and marketing sides of this business Iceman. I'm not working on it, but I have some family and friends (with more money than I do) who have been involved with a medicinal company working on a unique oil based extraction and platform. Particularly for those who don't want to smoke - the edibles, drinkables and otherwise consumable platforms have exploded the potential for both THC and CBD - and the recreational side of the business isn't bad either.

I've seen it in tablet form, cookie form, soda pop form, candies, gummies, hard sweets, breath mints, chocolate, there are even gourmet in home chef's serving THC laced meals.

Marijuana legalized here for medicinal purposes many years ago - but the explosion of recreational marijuana which first opened it's doors in Nevada on July 4th 2017 is insane.

The CBD only properties are fantastic for inflammation, joint pain and muscle pain among many other uses.

I can definitely see it coming to Ireland and/or the UK in the next few years and being made legal.  NC is the largest hemp grower in the US but theres a lot of product coming from africa and south america too.  Would love to see the plant being embraced for everything it could provide - especially as a paper substitute.  I noticed even Armagh has a hemp shop!

"As it is a devolved matter, it will require legislative change before it is enforced in Northern Ireland."

Good luck with that...
