Fair enough with Strule, there has been some money in schools pumped in over the last few years. I remember working on the design of Omagh IPS about 7-8 years ago...What was the figure given to an Ice Bowl in Dundonald?.

Someone mentioned the price of cars...WTF. How can a car that was sold for £20k then be sold on again for £25k a year later. The Car market are at it too.
Them poxy Electric cars...who could buy one of them outright?. All leased but I suppose if they break down you couldn't afford to fix them anyway so better leased but £50k for standard car...The World is f**ked guys

Casement Park goes from £77.5m 12 years ago to £300m now (apparently). How can that be...Materials and salaries have not went up x4. It's just people and Companies jumping on the bandwagon and knowing they can get away with it.

What are your thoughts on the way we are charged for things now...?. I believe majority of Companies are charging what they like and are allowed to get away with it.
.
Insurance - Doubled and trebled for younger ones, simply telephone numbers.
Infrastructure - Schemes have doubled and trebled in price yet wages and materials have went up prob 10%.
Fuel/Electricity - They can basically charge what they feel like, apparently oil is cheaper now than it was 3-4 years ago.

Feel free to add to the list as there are just too many to list here on my own, i'd be typing all day but how are they allowed to get away with this, is there mo regulatory Authorities monitoring these and Governments not stepping in?. I can guarantee you if we had a recession like we had in 2008-2010 and you offered Contractors a large scheme for a fraction of the price they'd be able to do it. Total rip off and everyone is jumping on board with it because they can

Quote from: paddyjohn on March 21, 2024, 12:34:26 PMWe'll do them at Snake Mountain. 2-0. Idah with a double

I hope you're right pal...things are def looking a bit brighter now than they did 4 weeks ago.

Rio Hatate played 45 mins yesterday in a arranged friendly with St Mirren, McGregor due back next week too so things are looking up with a visit to Snake Mountain only a few weeks away.

I think the GAA season is too condensed and needs to go back to the old format of September finals, this leaves enough time between games and allows for replays etc. As someone mentioned the club Championships are only kicking into gear around late Aug and September anyway and by that stage there are only 2 teams left in the Championship so it has minimal effect on the Club scene.
Regarding the League finals this will allow the finals to be played leaving 3-4 weeks before Championship time and giving teams a good quality game leading into Championship, some years the league will go the wire and some years it can be wrapped up with a game or 2 to spare but I suppose that's the luck of the draw...we got relegated last year because  of that which was a bit unfair but if we'd taken care of business earlier then it wouldn't have mattered.
Ohh...and while you are at it Jarleth can you please dump that stupid "Mark" rule, we have a good product so stop ruining it.

He had his wisdom teeth removed prior to or just as he transferred to Celtic, apparently he couldn't eat for close to 3 weeks and had lost 8kg in weight. For a guy that light that was always going to weaken him and he lost a lot of muscle, he's now close to his fighting weight and his performances have backed this up...

Agreed...100%. But that's my point, more quality to the squad but not necessarily starters. I'd imagine KMG will be using his squad next weekend to get game time into legs that haven't featured much.

The positivity in a week or two makes so much difference...CCV back playing, Hatate back training with McGregor, Nawrocki and Palma all due back in the next 2 weeks. Yank back available after his 2 week ban and Kuhn looking like the winger we all hoped he'd be. None of us knew his troubles at the start of his career with Celtic and the massive weight loss so it makes sense now that he's coming good. I'm not getting carried away just yet but there's def been an improvement in the games of late which gives us some hope that we can run this title race to the wire, with Kyogo starting to hit some form too we are in a much better place...HH

Yeah there's def a big step up from Div 1 and Div 2, Armagh and Donegal strolled thru the Division this year so it's difficult to know where we're at until we play a good Div 1 Team but all you can do is beat the teams in front of you and we've done that well. As you all have stated it's good to get some young blood into the team and competition for places, I actually agree with the RON scenario...I think we play better without him but he's such a talent that how can you leave him out when he's fit, he looks like he's still some timber to shift and another 4 weeks hard training to get into the legs but for the first time in a long time we have serious options on the bench that can change the game for us.
Armagh still have Cumisky, Morgan and Rafferty to come back too which just adds to the talent

CCV & Hatate trained today so that's a massive boost.

Hopefully CCV is back for tomorrow's game, we cannot have a partnership of Scales and Welsh no more. It should be banned forever, If i was Lagerbielke I'd be flabbergasted on how I couldn't break up that CH pairing.
Anyway a win tomorrow and get to the end of the International break and get McGregor and Hatate back from injury for the run-in is the only chance we have of salvaging this terrible season (so far). Things can change so quickly in a week...
