Clare's level dropped slightly but not by much and Limerick powered through that quarter. Clare did have a couple of bad wides in this period which might just have kept them in the game.

I was down yesterday, what a one sided miss match. Biggest disappointment was the work etihic as some players just didn't seem interest. Paddy Burke and Eoin Campbell were the only two even close to the standard. Some good players looked beat before we started.

team selection is very questionable in that lads who hadn't been involved in any of the S&C from pre-Christmas, hadn't played a part in the league campaign and weren't about the set up until a week or three ago were automatic starters and boys just back from injury were straight in. Smacked of desperation on the management's part.

Speaking of Dele Ali, has there ever been a worse guest on Monday Night Football on Sky, Carragher trying his upmost to involve him asking him questions and setting him up with lines but still couldn't get anything out of him.

Personal highlight was when he was doing the analysis of the Arsenal game and he kept having to ask the score in the game 

I would be hoping he wasn't relying on a media career.

I'd say its grand having a chat with your mates about football, completely different when there's a mic shoved in your face and knowing there would be millions watching lol!

In fairness I think for him he hasn't actually done any research on anything lol.. He'd no idea about certain games and seems as if he doesn't watch that many either.

Jamie is completely clued in and a veteran of doing this, the professionals make it look easy

Scheffler was so impressive last night. He's so steady and very rarely makes a wrong decision it's hard to see him making too many mistakes.

Bryson was brilliant too apparently he has newly engineered clubs more forgiving for his game that only got approved at the start of the week. They seem to be working.

Clare were much the better team over the 70 minutes especially the period after half time when they went 7 points up and looked to be well in control, but Kilkenny kept in the battle, some softish frees helped but also they're just never beat right till the end and TBH apart from the non penalty miss they'd a few chances for goals that were spurned.

Mossy Keoghan one on one with Rory Hayes in injury time, Hayes marshalled him well but I'd have expected a bit more vigor from Keoghan and he simply just tapped it over the bar.
No way Eddie Brennan or most of the KK forwards from that era would have done that with the game still to be won.

Clare looked good, but their dominance needs to be reflected on the scoreboard and they failed to keep the effort up over the whole second half, that is a potential worry for them.

Much being made of young Adam Hogan "buying" frees on social media, from what I see he does duck down in the tackle, but the bottom line is that there's nowhere in the rule book saying you can throw your spare arm out and around a player who's trying to get passed you.

Don't know why he is being singled out, every single player is at the same malarky. It is actually getting hard to watch, players running into a tackle and throwing the arms up to try and buy a free.

I guess there has to be more discipline by the tackler not to leave a loose arm in, but the refs need to start copping on to it as well.

I think that is why opposition fans don't really care if or when they win things. They are plastic and their achievements will always be reflected as such. Total contrast to where and who they were before the investment.

McIlroy just always seems to have 1 horrible round in him at this course over 4 days. 

He needs to ensure that horrible round doesn't kill his weekend, he is usually excellent on the Sunday but firing from too far back. Limit the damage on the bad round and put himself in contention and he is as dangerous a competitor as there is in in the field.
