Can't see the Shrewsbury game going ahead now either. When the hell are these games going to be played?!

Milltown Row2

After the African nations is finished by any chance?

Do clubs name the players who are infected/isolating to the PL officials our do they just take your word for it?
None of us are getting out of here alive, so please stop treating yourself like an after thought. Ea

If at first you don't succeed, then goto Plan B

Yes. It's Tyrone's obligation to inform the public of peoples private medical records. Wise up !!

Pep Ljinders has now returned a suspected positive test. Today's press conference is cancelled because there is nobody in a managerial capacity to take it, or the game this Thursday! Anyone want to step in?
If it isn't cancelled at this stage it really is farcical.

Isolation period is now 7 days from first symptoms, with negative lateral flows on day 6 and 7...

Liverpool should be good to go.

Did Leyton Orient not have to forfeit for similar reasons?

Not if they can't list 13 outfield players and a goalkeeper they won't. They also don't have a manager.

Last season, before the guidance around 13 players and a goalkeeper was brought in.

See rule 5.1.3.

"5.1.3 any other requirements or directions of the UK Government and/or by any public authority, then the Management Committee shall use its reasonable endeavours to rearrange the fixture for the earliest reasonable opportunity (including but not limited to arranging for the Competition Match to be played at a neutral venue) which will not be later than the date of the first Competition Match scheduled to take place in the immediately following round.

Funny how this seems to be an issue now that Liverpool want a game postponed.. games being called all over the shop in the Premier League and no one questioning it...
When you think you're fucked you're only about 40% fucked.

Exactly. It's ridiculous. They don't even try to hide it. Everton had just 5 players positive Christmas week and got their game moved. And there wasn't a peep.
People love to throw the old victim tag at Liverpool but when stuff like this happens is it any wonder?

Klopp was banging on a few weeks ago saying that games should be played.

I think the ire about this one is different. The Rumbelows is a competition in which Liverpool routinely field reserve sides, and there is a precedent this season of a team having to forfeit when Covid struck.

When you see rants about Liverpool on social media today, it's not about Liverpool per se. It's about big clubs being able to bend the rules to suit their needs.

Agree with this assessment, bit rich of Pep to bang on about the busy schedule over Christmas and New Year while the City bench against Arsenal cost more than the Emirates stadium ffs!
