Quote from: SouthOfThe Bann on April 16, 2024, 11:59:43 AMDoes Rodgers get the credit he deserves?

He's been immense for Derry the past 3 years.

He has outperformed Glass (and Glass has been good) without getting the same credit always pops up with big scores too.

Glass has probably been better than him this year so far though. Rodgers was quiet enough until the league final but again had  a massive game when it mattered.

as an outsider looking in it seems that Rodgers doesnt get the credit he deserves. Glass gets the most of it. Thats nothing against Glass as he is an awesome footballer but Id rogers is on equal footing with him

Quote from: HokeyPokey on April 15, 2024, 11:25:33 PMHas anyone here had any personal experiences with trans people and has anyone, or someone they know, been personally affected by any of these issues being raised here?

when I entered AA there was a lovely lady who happened to be trans. I possibly would not have got sober without her help

Quote from: lurganblue on April 14, 2024, 08:42:50 PMI didn't think it was a red but it was very close to being one. He can count himself lucky

I agree. He didnt connect with the head and the lad didnt make a meal of it. Both went in his favour I think. That said, if he was shown a red card Id have had no complaints

The klopp era fizzling out. I'm not sure announcing he was leaving when he did was a good idea

Quote from: Wildweasel74 on April 14, 2024, 03:15:33 PMArmagh totally on top all game, but only scored 8pts in 54mins.

Scored 3 goals also

Good result. Still doesn't really change much as it's still in both teams own hands. A bit of extra pressure on them tho and they'll have to attacko us at CP which will suit us.

Quote from: Itchy on April 14, 2024, 02:34:35 PMJarly was a red all day. In Kildare game lad just got red for exact same thing

I don't disagree with you but I don't think he connected with his head which probably saved him. And to be fair to the Fermanagh lad he didn't make a meal of it

Jarly Og probably a bit lucky there

Quote from: Look-Up! on April 13, 2024, 10:32:41 AMWhat utter nonsense. As if the judiciary give a crap about the tax payer when they're billing their time! And they're well fit to throw the book at people if they've gotten out of the wrong side of the bed for trivial crap.

This sc**bag raped a baby, filmed it, put it up on a sharing platform and would not co-operate with authorities in naming his buddies. The book should be thrown at him. If some p***k in government then wants to take issue with that and over rule the judge, I doubt they'd be too popular or get very far.
There are not too many crimes as stomach churning or vile as this one. Letting him walk in 4 years is a complete insult and more retraumatizing to the victims than anything that could have been said in court. And if we've lowered ourselves to the point of affording credit to the most depraved of paedos so as not to upset them, then the lunatics are truly running the asylum.

Can't disagree with any of this

There are no words

Despicable crime.  As for the 4 yr jail time sentence, WTF!  The courts really do not help the situation ... 133 previous convictions, then this ... 4 yrs!  The key should be thrown away on scumbags like this.

4 years!!! shocking. Ho long did Iain Watkins get?
