Rooney's goal was amazing, but took just one sublime bit of athleticism to conjure up. Ibrahamovic above required strength, pace, balance, timing, composure and instinct. Utterly class.

I am in the privileged position to say that I saw that Pele goal against the Germans. It was a strange match with a lot of repeats and it didn't seem to last 90 mins. I remember standing in my living room applauding. I think my father had a bet on the result and we had chips that night. Great, great goal.

I agree entirely. Much better goal. The shin offsets the chance of Saturday's goal being as good as some claim. Still a great goal mind, and great way to beat Citeh!

Bit of an exaggeration, think time is playing tricks with your memory. Did score a few nice ones mind, my favourite was actually for Wales not United.
