Folks

Just see a tweet from Joe brolly where he is commending today's commentary on Clare fm . I listened to the football yesterday on the same station and it was great.  Are these any such stations in Fermanagh , Armagh , Tyrone , Derry , Antrim and Down that give local and totally biased commentary on GAA games.

Three questions:

1/ is there too much handpassing in modern Gaelic football.

2/ if you think there is , what is the solution.

3) what would be the be benefits for the game.

Massive weekend .  Wex v Dubs on sat night .  Fancy dublin as wex have a lot of injuries and dublin are better anyway .

The Offaly v Kerry game in the prelim round robin will be massive.  Kerry won in the league in tullamore but I think Offaly will prevail here.

Starts the weekend with the big 2 in Q/f.

Think tipp will win by 6 pts but if Cork can keep it tight they have a chance as Tipp have had problems winning tight games over the past few years.

GAA Discussion / Dublin

In 2011 and 2013 they All Ireland marginally.

The last 2 years they are on a different planet physically to all teams .

Is the sport of inter county football sustainable if this continues .  Many will say it is a phase but I am certain it is not as the dice is totally loaded in their favour :

- financial power
-  population
-  rural depopulation and urban growth
-  ultra modern infrastructure.
-   A pile of super clubs.
-   Massive GAA funds pumped in .

Attendances will drop this year and it is really hard to drum up any enthusiasm for the summer ahead.

Any views??
