Quote from: Eire90 on December 19, 2023, 01:47:44 AMTHE one-sided nature of numerous matches in Junior football in Tyrone, both in the league and championship this past season, gives cause for concern, one of the county's leading officers has warned.
Donaghmore, Killyman, Castlederg, Brocagh would be only 4 that I would say haven't been competitive this year

Does Donaghmore have 3 senior teams?
For 2 years now

Any word on the other grade 1 minor championship semi final? I see cookstown eglish fixed for this weekend. Tyrone winners due to play St Paul's on weekend of the 10th. I'd imagine they will receive a bye

Must be away from Donaghmore thirds then  ;D

Quote from: rory on October 30, 2023, 08:09:03 PMDoes anyone know when the grade A minor championship will be played out. It looks like it's only at the semi final stages.

No fixtures scheduled so far. Was the Trillick-Dromore Q-final game ever replayed? Imagine it was held back with Trillick's Championship run

Grade 2 championship finally getting their semi finals on Saturday and this Tuesday.

At this rate, the leagues will still be running in December.

Did the various appeals/hearings go in Trillicks favour?
Wouldn't have been 2 many minors on their panel. They would hardly hold back until after Ulster Club.

The Ulster club minor starts on the 9th December. Will Tyrone even have a representative?

Pretty sure this is still ongoing

A replay was ordered. Objection, counter objection. Trillick appealed to ulster council. Game was awarded to them. I heard its going to the DRA now

Is this competition still going on?

I thought the GAA were clamping down on these sort of tournaments, like the underage ones.
Suppose nothing to stop them organising a tiurnament. This competition is being run as an u17 competition, so Tyrone's eventual representatives will be missing a good few players

Quote from: TyroneClubs on September 25, 2023, 03:28:01 PMI honestly think Gortin have been shafted two weeks in a row and now Owen Roes and Pomeroy as well. There is no reason a game couldn't be played on Saturday evening after the Edendork game? And a standalone game on the Sunday could be fitted in at a reasonable time at least?

Gortin and Strabane started close to 8:30 last night and only for a great score at the end by the Clogher half back, that game would've went to extra time and the second game would not have got underway to after 9pm on a Sunday night! No respect for players, management or fans.

We want our youth to look up to our senior teams but some can't even see them play in the biggest games of the year. Wouldn't see many u10s there on a Sunday night for a game not over to 10pm, or even Friday night when Trillick and Loughmacrory finished up close to 11. A joke to be honest
Is there something in the regulations that clubs must be given at least 7 days notice of when their chmapionship game will be played?

Any tips for bars (and dare I say it clubs for the more mature traveller) etc. in Carrick on Shannon?
The Poitín Still is a good bar for during the day, Murtagh's for the more club feel I think. Hard to go wrong though, great wee town from what I remember of it

Mc Hugh's and Flynns are also two great bars
Glancy's for the breakfast and a few early rollover pints of course

Cookstown v Fintona could be tasty tonight.
You couldn't separate them with a knife thus far

I am not sure about the penalty. I have seen them given but I have also seen them overlooked. Their legs come together which causes the Aussie to fall. A bit of a hometown decision.

Abbie Larkin looked good during her time on the park. I would start her and Amber Barrett. Barrett apparently can't head the ball but she is a good player and might score a goal. I don't know what Carusa does or Sheva apart from giving away penalties.
Lol, what!?!?!? One would have thought this would have been a prerequisite, up there with kicking the ball and running
