Found it notable the turnover in players between minor and U20 in recent years

Very few of the minor team who lost to Meath were playing in the recent U20 win, with a number of starters not even on the panel, in effect a very young U20 team with some only finished up at MacRory

Similar a few years ago when McHugh was MF on the winning U20 team 3 years before his final year

How is it that 17-18-19yos are significantly outnumbering 20yos on the 20s team?

Fall off between 20s and Senior is to be expected, but seems a gap between minor and 20s

There is some serious talent coming through at the moment but Senior mgmt is the big ticket item on the horizon, the right appointment is critical, no idea who would be best

Quote from: Dunneroyal on May 28, 2024, 02:42:18 PMI have genuine fear for this weekend. I hope Kerry just come for a bit of practice rather than at full tilt. Cause under Colm they can win by whatever margin they want. Upto and including 20 points. Meath have never been as low as we are now. I wonder what the geniuses who destroyed mcentee last year by voting against him think now. After we had lost a playoff to get promoted and lost to Dublin by lowest score in years.  Pathetic.  We are a shambles I'd say worse than Kildare. But Colm will put out excuse after excuse after excuse.  And of course a few Latin phrases too just for good measure.

Dicere Meath te solum amittere per 20 benignus est. Kerry ut vincat XXV.

Shouldn't that be  --  Dicere Meath te solum amittere per XX benignus est. Kerry ut vincat XXV?

Gavin admits there is an Irish Sea Border.  Pathetic that Nolan had Jeffrey in front of him for hours and let him spoof away that checks and customs were gone - there are checks every day of the week at the ports in Belfast and Larne.

If she is successful, would she go down the route of Health Minister at some stage? She would have a better knowledge that most of this portfolio.

Maybe some long term planning here but needs to get elected first obviously.

Snapchat might know more?

Bet there are a few Sinn Fein members pissed off in FST tonight who have worked their @@@@@ off the past few years and hoping that maybe they would in with a shout of being selected .............
If people in grassroots politics are pissed off for not being personally rewarded then it's probably best they weren't selected.

In the tightest seat in the whole 2019 election, I would imagine they would be backing the person who can retain the seat for the party.

A high profile big hitter is required in this seat for either side to get over the line.

The hard workers are usually overlooked these days anyway for someone who is the "right fit"

Quote from: thejuice on May 29, 2024, 08:34:38 PMThe same bunch on the county board that wanted Andy McEntee out at the start of 2022 wanted O'Rourke. No idea why. As ever with Meath CB they are a law unto themselves and don't offer any explanations as to why they decide things. But we let them get away with it I suppose.

The fact that the whole back room team walked after year one was telling.
and more worryingly apparently Colm had been lined up to take over should the vote have worked. So it gets more and more sinister. Meath cb have been a disaster for years. We still have lads there that procured the floodlights at a huge cost that had to be removed due to them been seconds and not safe. There's more openness in North Korea than in Meath cb.
