Heading down myself in a few weeks for a stag, Whispers, you say, I like the sound of that

Watch out for Tyrone_girl when you are there.  She is looking for revenge on that cheating fecker of a boyfriend of hers and would tackle anything with a pulse at the minute. ::)

Yesterday was one of the worst days of being a down supporter, I was one of the few who travelled to watch the game and it was nothing short of an embarassment. I know it was a division 3 final and it doesnt compare to championship, but it was our last competitive game before fermanagh .....we need to be getting the small things right so the big things can happen on the big day!!

Tipperary...famous for hurling played as well as they could but Down just didnt seem to have a clue. No sign of a game plan and certainly no sign of team play. It's unfair to criticise individual peopl but as an honest fan - hughes needs to recognise he's not on his own playing footbal there are others around to help!!
there were several lads who tried hard, but to be honest when one man on the line is shouting one thing and his sidekick is shouting the opposite it's hard for the players to know who to listen to.
carr continues to hit all the free;s which says nothing for the 6 forwards that we have, who each convert frees to scores for their club.Along with each game there is always controversy and yesterdays chat in the stand was the noteable absence of damien rafferty. he appears to have fallen out of favour in recent weeks and has been shafted from the captains role to make room for the managers son.

Hopefully gordon & co will make speedy recover's for the big clash in 3 weeks: They are badly needed!!

I have read recent posts regarding the players who are absent, Clarke & Walsh noteably - In my opinion each have played well for Down: Clarks league performance last year was incredible and Walsh put in an excellent season in 2006 collecting man of the match V Cavan & having trials with Ireland for Aussie Rules. These two players would be a welcome addition to any county team but as long as Dumb N Dumber AKA Ross N DJ are in the driving seat they shall remain out in the cold.

I don't understand why Carr hits all the free's either.  He scored a couple of great free's in the championship last year from the wrong side but they where only great frees as he was hitting them from his wrong side.  Is there no left footed players on the panel who can hit a free from the right side?

Anyone else suffer from this?

Nope.
I would the complete opposite,if something has to be done I do it straight away,it would annoy the f**k out of me otherwise

U sound like my boyfriend oops ex bf even, did my bloody head in. Everything that needed doin had to be done now. Like on a sat nite if ya wanted to get into bed or onto the sofa for a bit he would decide the feckin front door needed painting and he would have to go start it then, or that shelf he wanted put up in the bathroom would need done there and then. Drove me crazy, glad im starting to think of all the things that pissed me off.  I need someone that when i say ah sure we do it next week they say yeh or even the week after will do no rush  ;D

You sure your ex wasn't actually texting Mark?  Don't think there is many men who on odd occasion have a chance to get some action decide they have to paint the door.  Think that should have been your cue to leave through the front door.

I flick between Cool FM and Radio 2 in the morning depending on how grumpy I feel (very usually).  Pete and Kirsty are a bit annoying but they are always sort of cheerful which can be good, where as Terry Wogan can be a bit melancholy.  They are slightly flirty I would say and I sort of get the impression that Pete secretly gives her 1 at the office Christmas party.

Chris Moyles always comes across as aggressive to me and all his cohorts are laughing along to his jokes to keep themselves in a job.  The tedious link thing that always seems to be on when I flick is just what it says, tedious.

You missed the best bit of maths of the lot...

e^(i x pi) - 1 = 0

I still can't believe that is true...

It's not

e^(i x pi) + 1 = 0

My wife supports Spurs, nothing worse than flicking to sky sports and finding Spurs vs Wigan on tv and then having to watch it.  I'd rather watch paint dry.  Don't mind watching the big 4 play but i'd rather watch the Longford junior 'B' championship on TG4 than watch any of the premiership mid table matches.

Bought a couple of goldfish but they died after a few weeks so we bought a couple more, they died as well.  Gave up after about 8.  When we walked into the pet shop and all the fish started hiding we decided to leave them in peace.

Just to keep the ball rolling.

Who were the three strikers that Alex Ferguson submitted official bids for in the week prior to signing Eric Cantona in November 1992?

Hirst?

Didn't mind Hugh Orde at all.  He seemed a lot less crooked than Ronnie Flanagan or Hugh Annesley was anyhow.

Martin Palermo (Argentina) missed 3 penalties against Columbia in 1999 Copa America.

The welfare system in the south is crazy, you can get 200 euro a week for sitting on the dole, there is people in the north who work 5 days a week that after tax would barely clear £200 (it's about £60 in the north I think).  Also the pension in the south is 2 or 3 times as high in the north.  My wife was talking to a cousin of hers last week who has 4 young children in the south and they get 780 euro a week in benefits, her cousin works as well.  After she told me this I thought what are we doing living and working in the north.  It does seem a bit crazy.
