Stevie Watson apparently found tying a concrete block to his feet beside the Odyssey after Rory's Collapse....

Is Rory Irish or British?

He's a Cnut, that I'm certain of.

Ah! Sure you're a Cnut too  :o

Ah here, I've suffered enough this weekend.
It was by chance that I clicked on this thread only to find the above quote. :-[ :-\

Applesisapples

I'm on record as not being a fan of McIlroy's, but he plays some awesome golf at times. Golf (if you play it you will know) is a funny game sometimes you just make small mistakes that make the difference. The timing of those mistakes matters too. McIlroy made his at the wrong time leaving limited scope for recovery where as Li made them early in the round. His big test though will be playing with the big boys on the PGA next weekend. That will show where he is at.

Minder

Saw a stat that Li had 23 putts per round but McIlroy had 27 per round

And Hatton (3rd) & Levy (4th) had 28 putts per round.

Fleetwood (the form player going into last week) was over 28.

The lowest overall average so far this year on the PGA tour is 26.6

Li was outstanding last week & he pipped McIlroy by one shot; McIlroy played brilliantly, however, he is held to a higher standard by everyone but especially by his begrudgers

Megaman

Over the first 3 rounds Rory had a far better back 9 scoring than Li.

Gotta remember hes just coming back from a long lay-off though.

Truly the Joe Canning of golf.

He's not fit to clean Joe's hurl.

He's not held to a higher standard than Tiger was. Consider Rory can't hold a two stroke lead with half a round to play with the fact that Tiger never lost a major when leading before the final round. See the point I'm making? I hope he never wins another PGA event let alone a major, then Stevie Watson can actually report on the most popular sport in the North.
