there are some things which happen in life, when other things that happened in the past don't matter. This is one of those exceptional cases where you let bygones be bygones even it's only for a week. Fair play Logie, well done

Well said Hoof Hearted, well said.

the thread should now be closed as you have sumed it up in 2 lines.

As posters have stated, there is a really surreal feeling to all of this.  Absolutely devastated for the family, friends and for her husband as well as god only knows what that man is going through right now out there on his own.  Really is hard to comprehend what has happened, you never think much of these things in the news until it happens locally.  I dont know how a family gets over something like this, I just hope they find the strength to do so.  RIP.

Thoughts on today's match:

-Stevie G was controlling midfield until he got sent off
-Never a penalty
-Howard Webb has no rocks when in charge at Old Trafford, completely bottles it everytime, a weak man who shouldn't be allowed of officiate big games.  Seems to bow to Fergie
-Very very harsh sending off in my opinion, it was a loose pass and a 50/50 ball, Gerrard had every right to go for the ball, it was a totally committed tackle, yellow card at WORST should have been issued.
-Big Sam & Andy Townsend are horrible pundits, horrible.
-Dirk Kuyt should never have lasted 90 minutes, at times he gave Kelly no support and he isnt disciplined enough to keep to the wing the way the likes of Giggs hugs the sideline.
-Liverpool have no natural width in midfield at all.  Kuyt is not a winger and I would like to see Kelly and Johnson now teaming up on that wing.
-I was very happy with Liverpool's back 4 today, Agger would be on my teamsheet ever week.
-Konchesky should not play another game for Liverpool the year ahead of Aurellio
-I dont know how Liverpool get Torres back on form  :-\

I have just paid 30 (prepaid as I haven't been yet) for the dental hygienist. The 70 people are quoting seems a bit much.

NHS dentist.

Where TommyGunn?
Well I say Belfast DD but it's greater Belfast...

It's out in Carryduff. Only ~20 minutes out of Belfast so it's not too far away. Boy at work recommended it.

Im on Ormeau Rd at the minute so that might work ok.  Like the sound of that dental insurance though.

They sent back another email when I questioned about the NHS prices as below:

"An initial NHS check up for a new patient costs £9.64 a basic scale is £10.16 (this is very basic and only removes tartar build up and does not polish up teeth).

We offer basic fillings, extractions and crowns on the NHS."

Cavehill Dental Practice is an NHS place. Worked out about £15 for the checkup itself and think it was about £15 for a filling as well. I tried one or two other places before joining this one about 8 months ago and they were the only ones who were able to see me at short notice (some others weren't even taking on new patients).

Is that the one at the junction with the Westland? Customers always park on the Cavehill Road and block the traffic lights. Also, that practice dont treat their staff very well and pay them peanuts. I'm surprised that they charged you so little.

That would be me - though I go on round the corner and park there.
Have you been there recently?  I didn't realise it was NHS - that's where I got a good bit of cosmetic work done back in August.  Wouldn't have said it was too cheap then but that was prob due to what I was getting done - £2.5k or so paid out from me to them.  I was due back in for a filling (which I haven't gotten yet) but which was due to be £60-odd.  Still, I was happy enough too.

Just got the below email back from Cavehill Dental practice when I enquired about their services:

"Hello DirtyDozen you sexy beast,

Thank you for your enquiry regarding dental treatment, we would be delighted to look after your dental needs.

A check up and clean with our hygienist would be approx £70.

We do offer NHS dental treatment although some treatments are not available.

Maybe you would like to give me a call to arrange an initial examination/registration appointment or to discuss things further."

Its only after a check up that all the expensive stuff will need done  :(

Rios, what cosmetic work did you get done that cost 2 1/2 G??

Have not been to the dentist since I was about 18, eight years ago so I think it would be best if I got a check up!  Dont like dentists because the last time i went my teeth where fine but after the dentist 'worked' on them, i was in pain for a week and had to go back.

Anyway, anyone know or recommend any good dentist's in the Belfast area that doesnt charge an arm and a leg?  Will need a check up & clean and then probably work done after that.

Also, what is the craic with NHS dentist's?  Is there any of these around Belfast and can anyone use them?  I believe they are half the price of a private dentist?

One thing that annoys me about dentist's when im on the subject is that they always make you out to be a complete idiot when it comes to brushing your teeth no matter what your age is  >:(

Do you not brush your teeth regularly?

With an electric toothbrush every morning and night hence no need to be a dentist for eight years  ;D  have a broken tooth at the back though, thats what ye get for eating brandy balls.

Seen Inception last night. Still don't like Leo. Didn't think it was all that confusing. Tell me, spoiler alert, did the spinner fall over in the end? My sister and I argued about this.

thats the whole point, no one knows

That was my side of the arguement.

I have read Michael Caine claim that the spinner fell over but their view holds no weight IMO, its what you actually see happening on screen that counts.  He also said that it was reality at the end because if he is present then it is real, as he is never in the dream.  But how does him being in the dream mean it is real, as there are others in the dreams created by LDC's subconcious that weren't hooked up either.

One wee clue that most people missed... It was two different kids at the end. They looked different than they did in his dream earlier in the flick. To me that means that he wasn't dreaming as time had moved on and they'd aged. Whereas if it was his dream he'd still be seeing them in the same way every time. Apparently there are other clues pointing to the same conclusion.

Most over-rated film ever produced, utter shite in my opinion.  I forgot what they went into the drams for again, pure dung

The formula you need is =counta(RANGE) - this will give you the number of non-empty cells.

Thanks!!

Im making a guest list and in each cell im putting the name of the person to be invited.  I will have different columns with different peoples names.  Is there any way I can keep the name of the person but add a value?  Reason is so when ive all the guests entered on the spreadsheet, Excel will calculate how many people ive asked so each person will only need a value of 1?

Im an Excel buffon and have no idea how to do this  ???
