The McKenna Cup has a new sponsor in magazine Gaelic Life and TG4 have also teamed up with the Ulster Council to show a range of games live on the box.

Gaelic Life Dr McKenna Cup 'live' games being shown by TG4: Sunday January 7: Derry v Cavan; Sunday January 14: Tyrone v Derry; Sunday January 21: Donegal v Down; Sunday January 28: semi-final: match to be confirmed; Saturday February 17: Final.

Fair play to the new sponsor and as always TG4 who again show that they are the real national broadcaster when it comes to showing and promoting Gaelic games.

Coverage of games from september to may would be almost non existance only for TG4.  They deserave every bit of credit that they get !!

Good to hear of the imminent publication of the weekly mag 'Gaelic Life'. Looking forward to seeing who the columnists are and hopefully they don't die a death like the Game.
I wanna have my kicks before the whole shithouse goes up in flames.

sounds like you may have a little job there O Neill? Incidently am recovering from a knee operation (Bosco has a lot to answer for) and someone handed me a book - probably ancient history.  The Road to Croker by Eamonn Sweeney - a much critiqued indo journo.  I thought it was a cracking book set in 2003, and quite different from some of the others.  Seems to hate Armagh with a passion - and kinda justifies it.  Have you read?

ONeill

Yes, twas a great read. Must dig her out again. Also seems like he wanted the ride from the barwoman from I can't remember where.

Somewhere in Fermanagh I think that barwoman was, great read alright!

Norf Tyrone

The best GAA book I've read IMHO.
