Roscommon kicked it away. 9 first half wides when they were dominating the game says it all. Mayo kept their heads, plugged away, took theirs scores well and fully deserve their win. Sickner for Ros, thats 2 finals in a row they lost which they were more then capable of winning.

Would agree with what Ryano said. Ros should have been out of sight at half-time but were only 1 in front. Delighted for Dempsey though, bringing the first Connacht Minor title to the county in 7 years. It still doesn't make up for the Seniors losing though. :-\

Sickened with the way this one went.
Was expecting to be wiped at midfoeld, hoped our defence would keep us in it and that we'd be more economical than Mayo in the forward line and might snake it.
Midfield was on top most of the game, defence solid but he forwards ............. 9 or 10 wides in the first half.nuf said.

One bright spot on a dull day for Mayo. Sounds like they really had to dig out this one.
Can anyone who was at the match tell me how lucky or otherwise Mayo were?
The Connacht title is a monkey off their backs though so they may open up a bit now because, come what may from now on, the season will be deemed a success after bridging an incredibly long seven year gap
Mayo for Sam! Just don't ask me for a year
