Rules: Add total league points, with double for Div 1A and 1B; 2 points for losing league semi-final, 4 points for losing league final, 5 points for winning league.  3 points for provincial championship win, 5 points for provincial win.  2 points for every qualifier win.  5 points for quarter-final win, 7 for semi-final win, 10 for Sam.

Maybe the 2005 season numbers should be reduced by some multiplier to give the more recent campaigns more weight.
Next post will have competition draws.

So let's hear your quarter-final picks for starters.

Should the 8 quarter-finalists be Div 1 in the League for the following year?

Should the 24 non-qf teams play off for their provincial titles up to the final or semi-final (depending on how many qf teams from each province) in some way during July and August?  Maybe semi-finalists exempt from provincial fixtures?

Losers of Rd 1 play in Tommy Murphy?

Best schedule for games...Rd 1 and Rd 2 in May?

Some interesting clashes in Rd 1 and Rd 2...the local rivalries not really done away with, are they?

Good pubtalk, if nothing else.

With no 16 Cavan playing No 17 Down, the most evenly matched teams...is it a surprise that a draw was the result?

Although the formbook got turned upside down with 23 Longford taking out 15 Westmeath.
