Not a bad first round by Rory with a rookie caddy.

If he wins, some might say its because of a poor field.

What happened Harry?

Gabriel_Hurl

His wife just had a new baby.

Caddie this week is former Ulster and Connaught rugby player Niall O'Connor

How could I! Brilliant for someone from these shores that's at the top for such a long period, will be impossible to better, and an Irish man too!

He'll probably be knighted soon  ;D

Shane Ross will be standing behind him when he puts on the Green Jacket then he'll definitely be a proper Irishman!

Any of you fellas recommend a decent Garmin (or other make) watch for golf?

I've been playing for a few months and am beginning to be able judge how far I can strike a ball with each club (if I connect properly).  :)

I've had a look online and am none the wiser and I'm not really looking to break the bank either!

GOLF PAD APP for your mobile works well and is free. Try that first of all at least.

I use the Garmin Approach S20 GPS Watch
I've probably had it 18-24months & I've no complaints at all.  Used to use a rangefinder as I didn't like the thought of wearing a watch while playing golf (didn't even wear a watch at all at that point).  Went ahead and bought the watch anyway; rangefinder is rarely out of the bag now.

Hey I'm an addict, I'll watch pretty much anything for kicks but this is about the most contrived rivalry ever. It's been enjoyable enough tonight mind  :)

Rory turning down huge money to play in Saudi Arabia. I didn't think it was possible but he's actually gone up in my estimation.
