I know portlaoise beat kilmacud 14-8 in 2004. Not sure if was the last time, hopefully that's a good omen anyway.
Portlaoise roared into a 7 point lead in 2010 and solidly fucked it away, losing 2-4 to 2-7.

Granted there was other matters at play in 2010.
Portlaoise really should have at least one if not two more leinster titles if your going to be critical. The quality of players are there last year another prime example.

I think/hope portlaoise will win. I fear for annanough & courtwood game is a flick of a coin, hopefully they get through.

That's a good analogy don. Could't agree more. The county board have got a manager that everyone is happy with i think, It's now time to sort this put it across to the clubs correctly. i for one would be contented we're moving in the right direction.

Great to see everyone buying into this. Could be the first step to a divisional in our senior championship. I think its the way forward, anyone im talking too is sick of these gaels teams. You would just have to look at mountmellick if you drove through the week before the county final you would barely notice a flag around the place. The county board need to sort our SFC there are at least 4-6 teams too many there.

Courtwood were brilliant. Created great scores were great to watch. Oflynn is a serious talent. Was impressed with dunne & cian Doyle too sharp forwards. Augers well for laois football. Really impressed these young lads worked there scores instead of shooting from stupid angles.

Well id say this is the first step to it. I think its the way forward to having a more competitive SFC. But it will only get off the ground if everyone buys into it. John Sugrue is a visionary manager, He is looking at the long term. i think we're lucky to have him.

just odd george comes out about reddins always playing with MM, fair enough if they were the only 2 players they used. But the two mullaneys playing midfield & centre forward are serious additions. I think the middle 8 players are very strong for MM & should get them home if they play well. The inside line for courtwood is sharper than MM so should be a close one hopefully.

I'm looking forward to this game should be a close one, would like to see the stand alone club win. alan george coming out saying they are entitled to players from another parish is ridiculous.

It will be interesting to see how this goes down with everyone. I will go to the games anyway. I think this is good & we are moving in the right direction. Looking at our SFC it looks like a procession for portlaoise, Cutting our senior championship to even 12 teams made up of 4 divisional teams & last 8 of previous year senior championship, I would put the other 8 in a Senior B competition. In my book this would be a forward step & hopefully give portlaoise more of a consistent test in laois. I know there are plenty of holes in this concept but i think the time for change is now.

I agree. What clubs don't have a referee? Top of my head, mountmellick, the harps, abbeyleix, Ballinakill, Ballypickas, spink, clonad, 2 arles teams.. probably a few more. Apologies if any of the above clubs have a referee.

Yeah same as that, thought they moved the ball very well. defensively very good in the tackle & pacey tight defenders. I think they will take a bit of stopping now. good to see the talent coming through.
